Savage Beatings
The reports I've seen have Cooley saying that it is no big deal, and that he'll be fine. From CBS Sportsline: Chris Cooley, TE WAS News: Redskins TE Chris Cooley (quadricep) did not practice Wednesday as the team prepares for Week 2 vs. New Orleans. Cooley wrote on his NFL.com blog that he is not expected to miss Sunday's game. "I had a minor quad strain in practice this morning," he wrote. "It wasn't a pull, it really wasn't a big deal. There was just a little bit of tightness in the middle of my leg and the training staff and I felt that there was no reason to risk practicing full speed today. There is still a full range of motion in my leg and very minimal soreness. If I had to play right now I definitely could. I plan on making it out to practice (Thursday)." Analysis: Cooley was disappointed he missed the first practice of his NFL career, breaking a five-year streak. To make matters worse, Cooley really needs the practice after having only one catch for seven yeards in the opener against the Giants. Cooley is coming off a 66-catch season and having one grab in the opener is not a good start. Still, Cooley had one grab for 10 yards in the opener last season vs. Miami and looked how well he finished. Continue to treat Cooley as a No. 1 Fantasy TE heading into Week 2 against the Saints. He is expected to play barring any setbacks.
