Start your mudders....RB's should be gold in this game, and maybe defenses as well....although their also might be some fumbles, so I'd temper my expectations of McFadden do to that and his shoulder injury.

Strong winds, or just rain?

Rain and more rain, its been raining for two days and its not supposed to stop until Monday. It's raining like mad here! 100% chance of rain tommorow and 90% chance for Sunday. It's gonna be a nasty game!

I live about 2 and a half hours from KC and although its been raining....the wind has been pretty calm. Its overcast and gloomy but I wouldn't say it has been storming. We were making jokes about this must be what it is like living in Seattle.

Site says it only expects 14 mph winds so I don't think it will be all ground game.

if the field is super sloppy, why would RBs be gold? Wouldn't the slick conditions make it hard for them to make their cuts, and make it easier for them to be knocked off their feet?

I never bought the "bad weather favors the RB" falacy. it favors no one.

if its raining/muddy, I'm downgrading anyone from the Chiefs/Raiders game and mining for a better option.

I just tend to think that the rain hampers the passing attack, it should be balanced, but I'd favor a runner in such conditions. From the SEA vs. KC game in 1998 where rain took over the game and sloppy conditions:

SEA KAN

First downs 10 12

Rush-yards-TDs 26-73-0 42-131-1

Comp-Att-Yd-TD-INT 11-33-94-0-2 12-19-142-1-0

Sacked-yards 0-0 4-22

Net pass yards 94 120

Total yards 167 251

Fumbles-lost 3-2 5-5

Turnovers 4 5

Penalties-yards 12-88 5-48

9 turnovers in this game.

SEA passing: 94 yards

SEA rushing: 73 yards

KC passing: 120

KC rushing: 131

Just saying  It's probably best to temper expectations from both sides of the ball. Who knows what the weather will actually bring.

Stay safe Huddlers. My youngest son moved to KC in May. He wants me to go to the game but I don't think I will if it's going to be amphibian.

You got's to plan ahead more than this, so CD and I can take you out for BBQ.

Ask Alchico, Skylive5 and Bier Meister about the KC Hospitality Crew.

We were making jokes about this must be what it is like living in Seattle.

We get four straight months of briefly interrupted drizzle, Four months of drizzle or sun (50/50), and four straight months of briefly interrupted sun. We have sagebrush desert with dry snow 100 miles to the east. You guys get more rain year in and year out. It's been 70+ and sunny for the last 14 days. Here is our upcoming forecast: http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findwe...uSelect=WEATHER

During the sunny days this is what I see from my home office: http://www.adamstinton.com/images/MountBaker-big.jpg

These are the areas I spend if the winter/springs get too wet:: http://pics4.city-data.com/cpicc/cfiles2908.jpg http://www.richarduhlhorn.com/images/site_...oyd-Rd-view.jpg http://www.bentler.us/eastern-washington/s...-washington.jpg http://www.wenatcheehomefinder.net/images/...12_(Medium).jpg

But should i start McFadden or no?

I am on the leeward side of the Cascades, so I get the sagebrush and juniper with dry snow. Our winters go from November 1st to May 1st which is a real drag. Summers are sure great though. We haven't had a cloudy day since May. Today I golfed in 86 degree weather with a view of 6 snow peaked volcanoes on just about every hole :D

No doubt. Would love to meet you HR.

I am looking forward to the day! The son cancelled out on me :D (because he's a tasty morsel whipped). AND, I haven't had any Gates in a while. :D

I'll definitely let you all know when the boy and I reschedule.
