BRAYLON GETS A TICKET FOR DRIVING 120

Posted by Michael David Smith on September 12, 2008, 7:56 p.m.

Browns wide receiver Braylon Edwards was pulled over last month for driving 120 miles an hour — and at first, the cop let him go without a ticket.

Edwards has now been served with the ticket, however, and the police officer in question got a talking-to from his bosses.

Edwards was stopped on August 29 in Avon, Ohio, after police said he was doing 120 in his Bentley on I-90, where the speed limit is 65. The officer, who has been described as “star-struck,” let him go after determining that he wasn’t drunk, but after Channel 19 in Cleveland found out about the incident, Edwards was written the ticket.

“The officer let me off for good behavior,” Edwards said today. “Because of Channel 19, it got brought back up, got resurfaced and there it was. I got a ticket. But I’m not the first person to get a speeding ticket.”

The Associated Press reports that the officer, whose named wasn’t released, “has been counseled about handling traffic stops

...............since he can't seem to keep his hands on the ball.
