RJV
Not a Homer but I commented on this guy a dozen times. He is no top tier TE.
ts
Seems like we've been looking for Davis to "get in the game" about as long as we did for Travis Taylor to step up. Not sure if it's Davis, the "system" or some of both, but I think the clock is winding down on this waiting game. One would think that with Smith & now JTO at QB, the TE would be a primary target, as a "safe" passing play for a young QB ... especially with the SFO WR corps the past few years (or lack of same) but somehow Davis is never a weapon. I can only assume that the game plan never calls for the TE to get an early read in the progression, or that the dude just never gets open. ? mitpdub
One off the 1st plays in the game he could have caught and had just green in front of him for a long gain or TD. He alligator armed it seeing the safety coming from the side and pulled up. That and another poor effort in the red zone, probably led for Martz to call the plays to the wideouts. Davis screwed himself today really not the playcalling.
Sully907
I can't help but Feel Davis is going to break out eventually, everytime he touches the ball he makes a guy miss, or breaks a tackle. He just never seems to get any looks. Not sure who's fault it is.
Medal of Honor
The Seahawks lost, but thier TE Carlson still had a really good game (78 yards on 6 catches I think). That's two weeks in a row, I think he's worth picking up.
