Medal of Honor
I'm interested to see if you guys got credit for the Craig Terril touchdown in the 1st quarter. My league is on ESPN and I did NOT get the touchdown. Anyone know the adjustment tomorrow will give this to the DEF/ST?

Grits and Shins
I started SEA's defense and have credit for a defensive TD. Not sure how that helps you though as it depends on your league rules not my league rules on whether or not you get the TD.
Medal of Honor
Well my league DOES credit them. I'm looking at the ESPN stats and it doesn't show one ever even happened. It says TD = 0 for this week. I'm guessing it will get adjusted tomorrow if other websites are getting it. ESPN is silly...
mrader59
I had it credited in Yahoo but they took it away
ReturnToSender
Got credit on Sportsline, too bad I started the Chiefs instead.
Mags
I got credit on yahoo yesterday and now this morning they took it away. I have an e-mail into them to find out what the deal is.
Qdaddyo
Yahoo had credit for the TD yesterday, but took it away this morning. I have an email in to them also. Please post any replies you receive from your stat service. MFL has it regarded as a DEF/ST TD, as well.
ChampSampson
Here is the ruling on the Seattle Defensive TD: Seattle recovered the ball on the San Fransisco 18, fumbled it, recovered the ball again and scored the touchdown. Despite two different Seattle defensive players possessing the ball, it counts as an 18-yard defensive fumble recovery TD. Thanks for your patience while our stats provider finally sorted out the details. Stats.com is RTSports.com and CBS Sportsline provider. Medal of Honor
So I don't get it, it sounds like it is still a defensive TD... right? Anyone else have Seattle on ESPN and have an email into them? I can't find a place to email them...
Medal of Honor
Update, I have an email in to ESPN, I'll let you guys know what I hear.
dubbs
Yahoo league. Lost by 0.98 points last night. Have Seattle. I have a review request into our commish as well as an inquiry into Yahoo. Clearly a Defensive TD should have been awarded. I'll let you know outcome.
BeeR
MFL scored it this way FWIW
Brentastic
I don't have SEA def in any leagues but a work buddy does. I'm trying to decipher the logic here and all I can come up with is that once Trufant fumbled and recovered by SEA, then SEA is considered the 'offensive' team at that point or something to that effect - perhaps the fact that the 2nd recovery scored off of their own misfortune rather than scoring off the opponents?. Big J - can you help on the ruling on this? I'm still thinking it should be a DEF TD but I can kinda understand why it wouldn't as well (if that makes any sense). Since the defensive team was on the field at the start of the play, it is considered a defensive TD for FF purposes for that team if they get a TD on that play, regardless of how many turnovers occured during that play. bushwacked
Can you explain why all the host sites are NOT counting this as a SEA def TD then? It looks like RTS.sports and MFL are both counting it as a TD now.
Qdaddyo
This is the response I received from Yahoo!: "Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Sports. I appreciate your inquiry with regards to league scoring. We are working with our data provider on this play. Normally a double fumble negates points as the fumble recovery and ensuing TD have to take place after a change of possession. Since there was no change of possession on the second fumble recovery it may negate the points. Please keep in mind the commissioner of a Private PLUS league can manually award points if they disagree with the official decision. The NFL forwards us stat corrections every week on Wednesday night, we apply them Thursday morning. At that time if you do not see a correction you can manually award the points via your commissioner tools. ** You can click on the 'Stat Corrections' link from the 'Players' tab to view a list of corrections that have been processed in your league. *** Please note that any statistical changes that are made will only impact head-to-head matchups if they are made before the first game of the following week. Please feel free to email me again with any further comments or questions. Thank you again for contacting Yahoo! Sports." Since the score, MFL had always counted it as a defensive TD. Mags
Here is what I just received from Yahoo. I had to e-mail them again as what they contradicts, in one place it says they are working on giving the D credit and then goes onto say it was an offensive TD. I am the Commish of my league and I know if I fight to give myself credit for the points, there will be problems with my league as I am sure no one else was watching the 49er/Seattle game like I was. Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Sports. I appreciate your inquiry with regards to the fumble recovery return TD by Seattle. Engineering is currently working on a scoring fix in order to credit the Seattle DEF with the TD. This play is currently being recorded as an offensive fumble return TD as Seattle had possession of the football, fumbled, recovered the football and scored a TD. Therefore, the Seattle DEF is not credited with a TD on the play. Here is the play-by-play description: Frank Gore rushed up the middle for 5 yard loss. Frank Gore fumbled. Marcus Trufant recovered fumble and returned for 4 yards. Marcus Trufant fumbled. Craig Terrill recovered fumble and returned for 10 yards (Olindo Mare made PAT) Therefore, Craig Terrill is being credited with an offensive fumble return TD in leagues that use the stat category. Please feel free to email me again with any further comments or questions. Thank you again for contacting Yahoo! Sports. Regards, Marshall Yahoo!
