Softest Non-Conference Schedules

Georgia

Alabama

They also get at South Carolina and Arkansas

And if they get through this schedule undefeated (which, of course, I hope they don't), they have the SEC Championship game as well. While their non-conf games suck, overall I'd say that LSU has a respectable schedule.

We scheduled a Big East and a Pac 10 game, who new that both Syracuse and Oregon St would suck so bad? Well, we might have been able to see that Syracuse game coming. That being said, in spite of what all you wags tend to think, we still have to go to Winsconsin and to Ohio State. Finishing the season undefeated would be a pretty strong statement despite the non-conference schedule.

thing is - by the end of the year the Oreg St win is gonna look pretty good actually. OSU is a decent team- and I was impressed by the way PSU dominated them - they are gonna score A TON - and they shut them down pretty well. OSU is pretty talented, and by the end of the year will be a solid NC W for Penn State

I like their chances in a brutal Big 10 - may be tough to W at both Wisky and OSU - but Wisky didn't impress me- and OSU could fall apart after that debacle in LA.........

Professor, can't argue with you this season about LSU's OOC schedule. It's weak!

The good/bad thing (depending upon how you look at it) is that LSU should once again end up playing more top ranked teams than most teams across the nation including all of your PAC10 teams. Remember LSU was 5-0 in 2007 against teams that finished in the AP Top 15 while a team like USC didn't even play against one top 15 team. Now throw in the possiblility of facing another top 10 team should the Tigers get into the SEC Championship game and you have one heck of a tough overall schedule.

FYI: LSU normally has at least one non conference BCS team on the ooc schedule.

2009 -- Washington

2008 -- [none]

2007 -- Virginia Tech

2006 -- Arizona

2005 -- Arizona State

2004 -- Oregon State

2003 -- Arizona

2002 -- Virginia Tech

New England with a healthy Tom Brady would have 5 losses with this schedule.
