Big Ernie McCracken
http://www.completecolorado.com/Marshall4.html Obviously if convicted, he'll face a lengthy suspension
Avernus
would that occur this year?
i_am_the_swammi
The court date (where he would have to plead guilty/not guilty) sounds like it is upcoming in the next few months, but a trial would likely be in the offseason. Pending the outcome of the trial, he would likely face suspension in 2009. IMO, it makes Godell look a little foolish for cutting the guy a break and reducing the suspension this year. He obviously has many, many issues he needs to work out. Edited September 18, 2008 by i_am_the_swammi
Caveman_Nick
Misdemeanor Battery Charges. Sounds like someone is just trying to cause him trouble. EDIT: I am a certified Bronco Hater, even if I own Marshall on 1 team....not trying to Waterman it up here. Big Ernie McCracken
Interesting that the charges were filed in Atlanta and the Bronco's play the Falcon's in November
AtomicCEO
It just doesn't seem right to me that every single one of his alleged battery charges have come from the same woman and her family/friends.
Bronco Billy
Word is that the woman & her family are attempting to extort money from Marshall because they are "owed" it, and he's not willing to participate. Police reports in this matter also show Marshall with wounds inflicted by the woman as opposed to the other way around. Of course, in domestic abuse situations it is almost always the man who gets charged/jailed.
Bronco Billy
BTW - this information was known to the commish before he met with & suspended Marshall. Also - Marshall is not blameless in this. It appears that on occassions he was abusive to her. It looks like a mutual situation where both parties seem to be invested in making each other miserable. Why he just doesn't cut her loose for good is just beyond me.
