theeohiostate
Power has been down at the house since last Sunday, and I'm getting about 20 minutes of internet per day going to my brothers. Today, I check my email quickly and see that Palmer was dropped for Brian Greise. 12 team keeper league. Sorry, but imo, no matter how you cut the cheese , this is ridiculous. Anyone find this move peculiar , boneheaded or justified ?
Savage Beatings
I think he has one of the worst (if not THE worst) completion percentages and passer ratings in the league, with no signs of that changing anytime soon.
cory_n_az
I was considering trading for Palmer, but between how that entire offense has looked & that schedule this year, I think he'll be lucky to finish in the Top 15 QB's. I read something like the last 7 games, he's thrown all of 5 TD's (I know he finished miserably last year as well). Dropping Palmer outright in a keeper is pretty questionable obviously [JMO you can still get a Top 10 QB for him based on his rep], but I wouldn't be surprised if we saw more INT's than TD's from Carson over the course of the year. I'd be shocked if he remained healthy all year -- the guy has no time to throw the ball (to go along with his accuracy issues) Edited September 19, 2008 by cory_n_az

tomfin2000
In a keeper league, it's a boneheaded move, because Palmer is a stud talent that will be just fine once the Bengals clean house this offseason and rid themselves of their dysfunctional coaching staff and a handful of their dysfunctional players. In a redraft league, it's justified. Someone said in another thread that Palmer is this year's Bulger, and I thought that was an excellent analogy. In a redraft league, it's justified. Someone said in another thread that Palmer is this year's Bulger, and I thought that was an excellent analogy. So who's Bulger this year? Or is Bulger, Bulger? Randall
Yes. I was offered a backup RB for him in one league as well.

That's a good point. It's obviously taking a toll on him mentally and physically. So who's Bulger this year? Or is Bulger, Bulger? Bulger is Bulger, but at least this year, we all saw it coming. You know it's an unfair world when Bulger and Palmer are suffering through a season like this while the Vikings can't find a legitimate starting QB. Yeah they're making millions, but losing sucks no matter what you're getting paid. Edited September 20, 2008 by tomfin2000
Retrograde assault
May be a case of premature edropulation.
Scooby
May be a case of premature edropulation. Ha, I love it. Really, though, what do you have to look forward to when you start Palmer?
