Fire Linehan!

 As a die hard Rams fan i am plenty ok in admitting that its time for Linehan to go.

The guy just doesn't have a clue. He was a terrible OC in Miami and was a product of the Moss/CPep connection in Minny.

Rams are brutal this year and its time to blow up the team. Start with the head coach and work your way from there.

Can't stand looking at him on the sidelines and his press conferences seem to indicate he doesn't have a clue that he is close to losing his job.

Haslett needs to go too. Mark my words, things will be different from a personnel point after the bye week.

I can't wait.

Edit: Rosenblum basically told him earlier this week that if things don't improve he's out of there.

C-Pep put up an MVP-caliber season in Linehan's last year in MIN, and didn't have a healthy Moss for much of it. There have been quite a few really solid offensive coordinators over the years who haven't done well as head coaches.

Martz....

i disagree. theres more talent than a team that would need to be rebuilt. Jackson, Bulger, Holt, Witherspoon, Little, etc...

i think it's a decent situation. i know Martz is under contract, but he's very familiar with alot of the personel.

First, in order to hire Martz they would have to admit it was a mistake to fire him - not gonna happen. As for the personnel:

Jackson - who runs very soft for a big guy

Bulger - who even when he gets time can't hit the broadside of a barn this season

Holt - who is rightly triple-teamed on every play

Witherspoon - who used to be great and is still pretty good and

Little - who is hurt again

LOTS and LOTS of work to do.

The Rams are the oldest team in the NFL and arguably the worst. They do need to rebuild. You would like to think they could build around Stephen Jackson, but that hasn't worked so far. They need a few years of drafting O-lineman and defensive backs before they can be competetive again. Linehan might not be helping much, but he isn't the problem either. This is what often happens at the end of decent eras if you don't continue to develop quality depth.

i think they could compete right now, (personel-wise). -the coaching is awful. the play calling is so predictable.

This would be true if they had anybody who was ANY good at evaluating talent and got good players. Adam Carriker, Tye Hill, Jimmie Kennedy - they were all first-rounders on the D-line or secondary and they all SUCK. Chris Long is not making plays and most of the time looks overwhelmed, so he may be added to this list as well, it's too early to tell for sure.

So when we talk about Linehan, we also need to talk about getting Jay Zygmunt the heck out of there as well.
