Patriots
Is the pats starter after the bye week? Granted he was not the reason they lost, but they cannot be serious about keeping this guy around all season. I am not bashing him, but I don't think he can get the job done as a starter in the NFL. peepinmofo
I think they have to see what they have in the other guy. Forget his name, but he cant be any worse than Cassel.
NEPats
Cassel should be done.. Too tenative in the pocket. Amazing what a good QB can do.
Rovers
I would not blame it all on Cassel.... how many points did the D give up to the Pennington-led Miami offense? This is a classic "any given Sunday" game. Sometimes good teams come out flat. that is what happened to the Pats today. No need to panic. chinatown dragons
Some of the drop passes weren't Cassel's fault....being a Pats homer, the announcer said that one pass to Moss, it appeared that Moss didn't agressively go after the ball......but the ball was there... Are folks saying the same thing about Schaub in Houston? Should he be the starter after his great game today??? I think Cassel will be there after the bye, as it wasn't Cassel that let Ronnie Brown score 4 and throw one...!
michaelman
The Patriots defense just stopping carrying once they couldn't believe the offense could score... it's too demoralizing
Sleeping King
The Pats would have lost today even if Brady played. The defense was embarrassing. Cassel will start vs. the 49ers. For better or worse. I am not on board the trade for Garcia group that has started on the Patriots message board. If things go sour with Cassel they should let O'Connell give it a go. One thing they have to do out of the bye is throw deep. They have to get the defenses to respect more than the Welker under routes that they continually throw anytime they need yardage. Even if they are incomplete to Moss they will keep the safties farther back and hopefully open up a few more passing lanes for Cassel.
