tonyr0802
Jeremy Shockey will undergo sports hernia surgery and miss at least the next 3-6 weeks, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.The injury has reportedly bothered Shockey for weeks and was aggravated in Sunday's loss. The Saints' passing game will probably still find a way to hum without Shockey and Marques Colston until Week 7 at the earliest (the team's bye is Week 9 and might be a better projected return date for both), but they're now lacking on proven options. Robert Meachem, Devery Henderson, Reggie Bush, and Shockey's backup Billy Miller will have to pick up the slack. NYCDOG
Looks for even more receptions for Bush. Good for if you have him in a PPR league I suppose
RylenolFlu
Bush may end up being the leading receiver in the NFL when it's all said and done. Anyone else think Billy Miller becomes a decent play until Shockey returns? Brees loves him some tight ends.
rajncajn
when I wore my first dress, next it's going to be Brees, Bush & Vilma. Dman this team just can't get healthy this year.

Miller might have a couple of good games, but I don't think he'd be worth burning down the waiver wire for. When Shockey is back Miller won't get a sniff. FordFairlane
While I've got Reggie Bush on my team and am loving the numbers, it seems that we're moving toward familiar territory here. Last year he was asked to shoulder the load for bulk of the running game and it ended with him getting injured. Now with Colston and Shockey out, it looks like Reggie will be shouldering the receiving load here pretty soon. I hope all of that use doesn't land him in a walking boot soon. With everything they've put on his shoulders now, if he goes down, the Saints are done. Edited September 22, 2008 by FordFairlane
