Do Work Son
Im in a league of 16 teams with 2 divisions of 8 and am currently the 3rd highest total scoring team out of 16 and have a record of 1-2....I seem to keep playing the highest scoring team each week and barely pulled out my week 1 win...Is it possible to have one of the best teams in the league and still miss the playoffs b/c of bad luck with scheduling... P.S. The next team i face is 3-0 and has brees this week facing SF def....

Let It Ride
Happens to one team, in a league, every yr. On the flip side you will also have a team that scores low ,but, has a winning record. Because they get teams that score low against them those weeks. Outshined
I am 1-2 and have one of the crappiest teams in our league. I beat the one of the best teams this past week and it felt good. My chances are slim on making the playoffs, but its fun being the spoiler.
Capt. Stanky
This is why I'm a proponent of Victory Pts. You get 2 pts for every win. You get 2 pts if you are one of the top 3 scoring teams that week. You get 1 pt if you're one of the next 3 highest scorting teams. It evens out the luck factor a little bit. JO-E
I'm 0-3 and start... Brees LT B.Jacobs McFadden or Ronnie Brown C.Chambers T.Scheffler NE D and a kicker 12 team league w/o ppr and I get that roster and can't win a game?!?! I don't understand Edited September 24, 2008 by JO-E
Flip_Side
Lost first week by 3. Lost second week by 7. Lost this week by 4. I'm 0-3 with the highest points in the league. Everyone is talking smack and it really irritates me because I know my team is better than theirs but I just can't buy a win. Every week the other team has a career high week and somehow wins, while I'm putting up those high numbers every week!
michaelman
I'm kinda on the upside of match ups.. I assume you mean match ups of your Players.. and match ups with other teams... I'm 2-1... and this past week... the average score was in the 120s... and I won my match up with 88 points.

I guess I can't blame you for being angry. If DEN had gotten beaten at home by a team as pathetic as MIA on a play stolen from a 1928 playbook - several times - I'd be pissed too. Since you've taking up stalking me, I've posted in the following thread on the front page for your convenience. In one of them I actually pick on one of your gods: http://forums.thehuddle.com/index.php?showtopic=261727 http://forums.thehuddle.com/index.php?showtopic=261698 http://forums.thehuddle.com/index.php?showtopic=261353 http://forums.thehuddle.com/index.php?showtopic=261642 http://forums.thehuddle.com/index.php?showtopic=253396
Balzac
I've had the top overall team from a total points perspective and missed the playoffs - it happens.

Well, hell. Here we go hijacking the thread. Why don't you tell the class what the Pats' record under Belicek is against the Donkeys? And that's before NE got caught cheating. Speaking of pwned... Because it might cause you to find a flaw in a team that you regard like a 4 year old regards comic book superheroes - your team can't possibly have a flaw, can it? But it does, the Achilles' heel of the Pats under Belicek is Shanahan's Broncos. So while you were beating up all those contending teams, your uberteam was getting its teeth kicked down its throat game after game against a team you don't even think belongs with the contenders (rightfully so, I might add - makes it all the more embarrassing, doesn't it?).
