Green Bay -- According to Al Harris' agent, the Packers cornerback asked one doctor to remove his spleen so that he could play this week against Tampa Bay. :wacko:

Of course, the request was rejected, but in an update Jack Bechta gave on the National Football Post, a football web site of which he is one of the founders, Bechta said Harris really wants to play again this season. If further tests show only a laceration, doctors will perform a CT scan in a couple of weeks to see how he is healing and then determine a timeline for his recovery.

Bechta said test results will be known in the next 48 hours.

Green Bay - Here a brief report on what happened on Hinkle Field:

S Nick Collins (back) and S Aaron Rouse (knee) were back at practice and appeared to be unrestricted;

S Atari Bigby (hamstring), RB Kregg Lumpkin (hamstring), FB Korey Hall (knee) and WR James Jones did a lot of watching.

CB Charles Woodson (toe) was not at practice.

We'll be back with any news.
