theeohiostate
Wow, 2pt conversion taken away on a penalty. Refs really wanting to make a name for themselves here, deciding the outcome on that kind of crap.
budlitebrad
It was the right call. Why should the rules be disregarded just because it's the end of the game?
theeohiostate
Holding is also a rule , a penalty that can called on every snap on just about every game ever played at any level in football. Traveling is a rule in the NBA, but never called. Point is, why make a game deciding call as a ref , on something that had no importance to the play ? Menudo
I probably shouldn't say this, as Penn State has to play them later this season, at Wisconsin, but, I think they are over-rated every single year in the Big Ten. I was hoping they would continue to win, so that PSU's victory on the road against them would have looked better. First things first though, Illinois can be scary, but, so can the "White Out".......... LETS GO PSU !!!!!!

Traveling is a rule in the NBA, but never called. Point is, why make a game deciding call as a ref , on something that had no importance to the play ? Think about this one for a sec there TOS. You're suggesting that a guy can line up in a position from which he is entitled to do nothing other than stay home and block yet he goes into the endzone on a pass route and this won't effect the defense. And, oh, by the way, holding and traveling could be called quite regularly and aren't, however illegal man down field is called with great regularity and for good reason. Just a caveat to all of this... please don't ever compare the rules in the NBA to anything else because everyone who watches knows that the NBA isn't really basketball. If you want actual basketball then watch the college game.

Menudo
not scary enough I'm not sure where Juice Williams will fit into the NFL, but, he is an awesome football player. Aurelius Benn will be an absolute STUD in the NFL.

GWPFFL BrianW
It's too bad that since this game didn't take place below the Mason-Dixon line that it is considered a boring game.

So, are you advocating that refs should decide when to apply the rules and when to ignore them? Do you really want them to have that responsibility? UW's MO seems to be play very well when they start out UNranked and have no shot at the BCS title....but when ranked high have at least one, more likely two, pant-sh*t losses
BS Miscreant
It's too bad that since this game didn't take place below the Mason-Dixon line that it is considered a boring game. Though I saw the 4th quarter and it was anything but boring, I'd imagine that a large number of people either turned away in horror at halftime or simply didn't watch at all because Michigan has been so awful thus far this season. GWPFFL BrianW
Though I saw the 4th quarter and it was anything but boring, I'd imagine that a large number of people either turned away in horror at halftime or simply didn't watch at all because Michigan has been so awful thus far this season. My comment was based on someone saying that you would never see an exciting game like Auburn-LSU in the Slow 10. I agree with you, it was anything but boring.
