Menudo
Wow, what a weekend....... I'm just curious to see what you think the Top 10 will look like ??? My prediction: 1. Oklahoma 2. Texas 3. Alabama 4. Missouri 5. LSU 6. Penn State 7. Texas Tech 8. BYU 9. USC 10. South Florida Edited September 28, 2008 by Menudo
BS Miscreant
1. Oklahoma (really look good so far and just manhandled a ranked team) 2. Alabama (the two, combined, most impressive wins of the season thus far) 3. LSU (initial high ranking and has done nothing to lose it) 4. Missouri (this is why they shouldn't even have polls until mid-season. Have played no one) 5. Texas (ditto Mizzou comments) 6. Penn State (doing what a top ten team should do so far) 7. USC (loss was brutal but with other losses this weekend and lack of pedigree in the polls behind them... a shame really) 8. Texas Tech (don't know how they're top ten going into last week but they were) 9. Brigham Young (should definitely be around top ten with performances so far, albeit against bad teams) 10. South Florida (one big game and they one it. finally looked like a team who belongs this weekend) Georgia might also be in that 7-10 range given the fact that their lone loss was to another top ten team. This a bit of a mix of what I think it should be and what I think it will be. Truth is, none of this matters until the last couple weeks. Win your BCS conference and you could be playing for all the marbles.
theprofessor
1. Oklahoma (Easier schedule so far than Bama. Alabama is more deserving of the #1 spot but they won't jump that many spots) 2. Alabama (more impressive wins than OU and has 2 good road wins and 1 great one!) 3. LSU (by default) 4. Missouri (A lot of skill position talent. Would be nice to see them play OU) 5. Penn Sate 6. Texas (behind Penn St. because of their schedule) 7. USC 8. Georgia 9. Texas Tech 10. BYU (Better offensively than most of the Top 10) Edited September 28, 2008 by theprofessor
Kid Cid
1. Oklahoma (Cupcake schedule so far. Alabama is more deserving of the #1 spot but Bama won't jump that many spots)2. Texas (behind Penn St. because of their schedule) 7. USC 8. Texas Tech 9. Georgia 10. BYU (Better offensively than most of the Top 10) Penn State won't be ranked above 6th. The anti-Big Ten bias that exists in this forum extends well into the polls.
millerx
Between USC and UGA...Georgia should be ranked ahead of USC. UGA lost to #8 Alabama (who will move way up) USC (lost to an unranked Oregon St.) Ya, UGA got embarassed and destroyed, but at least it was understandable against the competition. Gopher
OklahomaLSU Alabama Missouri Texas Penn State Texas Tech BYU South Florida Georgia USC at 11 Actually, the above is based on where I think they should fall, but I doubt USC falls that far... Realistically, I think they'll fall somewhere in the 7-8 range, and everything else will adjust accordingly.

GWPFFL BrianW
I do want to point out that only the Coaches poll has any relevance in terms of the BCS. The AP Poll is not part of that formula.
