Big John
T.O. got OWNED by Sean Springs. Or even Shawn Springs?
MERLINS
As a LLDF (Life Long Dallas Fan) aside from this being the Redskins, this loss was good for us. I could care less and did not expect an undefeated season. Losses make a team stronger. I am sure that TO will be corralled and all will be well soon enough. With all of the media hype of the Cowboys being the best team in the NFL, etc......this loss was a blessing. Now............if they overlook Cincy this weekend, we will have problems......................... Out

detlef
T.O. got OWNED by Sean Springs. He looked slow, ran boring routes and was responsible for the pick. This is just his way of venting. Is anyone surprised by this? Same Shawn Springs that TO torched in the famous Sharpie game. Not trying to say anything more than that. Just an interesting full circle I suppose. Pope Flick
Let's see he gets 18 targets, catches 7 and gets a TD. They lose and he's not happy with Romo. Now, word out of the Big D is that Wade is going to have Romo audible less into pass play since Jones got 0 and MB3 got 8 touches respectively. So if TO gets less targets and they win will he be any happier? I doubt it, and this could be the beginning of his Dallas meltdown. His childishness is rearing its head again. DemonKnight
7-71 and a TD not neccesarily ownership. I think Woodson owned him Considering the amount of looks TO got I think Shawn can go to the bank and use T.O. as collateral on a loan. So what you're saying is Springs can claim T.O on his taxes
WaterMan
TO gives WR a bad name. Maybe if he caught that corner pass in the end zone Dallas would have won?
hooknladder
check this out: DALLAS — Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens is not mad about the offense and he is not upset with quarterback Tony Romo. Owens, who has drawn national attention for his comments about the offense and a report that he complained to Romo after the Washington Redskins game Sunday, answered the charges on his radio show Tuesday night at the House of Blues. Owens said he never had a conversation with Romo about his role in the offense. “I have not,” Owens said when asked if voiced his displeasure with Romo after the 26-24 loss to the Redskins. A source did acknowledge that he is frustrated with some of the routes that have been called. He caught only two passes in six quarters from the second half of the Eagles game through the entire Eagles game before catching seven passes against the Redskins on Sunday. Owens said his postgame comments about needing to be involved more in the offense were blown out of proportion and more a product of his frustration in the Cowboys loss than any displeasure about the Cowboys offense. “It’s a matter of being frustrated with the loss,” Owens said. “It had nothing to do with the offense.” Critics say Owens’ frustration is unfounded considering that the Cowboys directed 18 passes toward him against the Redskins in addition to two rushing attempts. Owens said the numbers are misconstrued because the all the passes weren’t catchable. “That is not to say nothing about Tony Romo,” Owens said. “I am not going to be able to catch every ball thrown my way. Every pass was not a valid catchable pass.” Owens didn’t back down from his comments about needing to be a big part of the offense. “All I have said is I need more opportunities to help this team win,” Owens said. “It’s me being confident in who I am. Its not going to be the last time you hear me say I need the ball. Owens took a lot of heat from the ESPN studio analysts Tom Jackson, Keyshawn Johnson and Cris Carter after Sunday’s comments. On Tuesday, he offered his own rebuttal. Regarding Keyshawn Johnson, whom Owens’ referred to as Sheshawn at least three times, he said: “[As the No. 1 overall pick in the 1996 draft] he is the ultimate underachiever on that panel. I am the reason he is in the booth. Everybody is aware when I was brought to Dallas he was the one they let go to get me here.” He said there was one thing he agreed with that Carter had to say and that was that Jerry Rice is the best receiver of all time. “But I am second all time behind Jerry Rice," Owens said in accentuating his superiority over Carter and Johnson. Cowboyz1
Only one of those two has underachieved his way to earn a Superbowl ring though... That is a very very weak trump when you look at the bodies of work for both players. T.O. is far and away a better reciever then Meshawn ever was. Honestly, Keyshawn was never really a true #1 wideout on any of the teams he played on. He was good but not a HOF wide out and T.O. will most certainly be 1st ballet when he is finished scoring touchdowns and helping Dallas get to the top of the mountain. "Weak" is his statement about Carter and Johnson. Fact is, Johnson DID win a ring and has always been a tough clutch WR. It's funny you refer to him as "Meshawn" and defend Owens, when Owens has been a bigger Megan Foxe publicly than anything Johnson ever did. But then again, most Dallas fans have forgotten they hated him just a few years earlier for doing the same thing Tank is crying about after the Skins game. ~Hated Johnson as a player, live in NY area so I put up with his antics in the media then had to watch him win a ring against the Raiders. bushwacked
Phillips has generally steered teams into a train wreck in his 2nd-3rd year has head coach. Although the newest TO thingy isn't necessarily proof of his inability to effectively lead as a head coach after several games, it's an indication, one has to wonder if this is a foreshadowing of things to come. I must admit I hated T.O. prior to coming to Dallas, AND I was discusted at the signing. However, I didn't follow T.O. when he was with the Niners or when he was in Philly. When I say follow, I mean read all the statements and listen to press conferences and teamates. Now that he is in Dallas and has been for some time now, I am more inclined to believe the Niner and Philly organization was more at fault then he. Looking at the history of those clubs and the current state of them I can see why he wanted out and why he felt Garcia was lame as well as Mccnabb not being able to last it out to win the big one. I suspect if Mccnabb worked as hard as T.O. in the offseason he wouldn't be injured as often and wouldn't have gotten tired in the biggest game of the year. That was T.O.'s gripe. That the QB was gassed in crunch time while it was T.O. running deep routes all day trying to win. Mccnabb was sucking air late in the forth and wasted valuable time in doing so. In following T.O. since he has been in Dallas, he has been a better teamate, a producer and competitor then at first look. The guy goes so far out of his way to help the young players get better by staying after practice and having them over to his house. Stays in incredable shape and practices as hard as he plays on Sundays. He also tells it like he sees it to his detriment sometimes but I haven't seen him make stuff up or lie and his teamates say the same thing. I can't say that for Mccnabb or the Niners so I am inclined to believe T.O.'s side of the story. You can't ask any more of a star Wide Reciever other then being smarter when it comes to media traps. I don't know what went on in San Fran nor do I know what happened in Philly but from what I have seen with the Cowboys, what they said he was and wasn't in those other cities doesn't add up. I am not defending at all. I am mearly exposing the media for being stupid as usaual for fabricating stories to sell print. I am also blaming T,O. for being naive and foolish enough to swallow same bait he has been hooked and landed so many times on before. ESPN and many would love nothing better then to see the Cowboys impode as a result of T.O. saying something they can use to wedge and divide the team causing chaos. I am saying he must be smarter then he is being because all eyes are on the Boys this year and with the talent they have on this team can make a run at the whole thing. If all the Cowboys have to do is worry about their opponents each week, which is enough in it's self when you look at the East this year, we have a great opportunity. It would be a shame to fall short because they let the media and general Cowboy envy derail our season............... If T.O. wants a ring, he is not going to get a better opportunity then now and I think he knows it which is why he is volitle about losing games he and the team feel they should not let slip by.
