juiceman
I watched him play this past week and he played with a lot of confidence. Garrard seemed to target him the most too. I know all we can do is project what is likely to happen based on a small amount of info but with that said, any chance he breaks out and becomes big this season? If he has one more big game and he scores than I could see him getting snatched up from under me. Maybe I grab him now while he is still somewhat unknown. The Waterboy
Juiceman, if you saw the game - Matt Jones and Porter weren't hurt, right? Was Walker doing this in three wide receiver sets or was he playing as a starter/regular? I'm really encouraged by what I've seen statistically with the number of looks he's gotten in the game scan the past couple weeks. And with Porter running his mouth, he may be quickly running himself out of town, I would surmise. I wouldn't necessarily say that Randle El or Antonio Bryant are better options. We've seen them both come and go. They're matchup players. Maybe if you need to start somebody off the wire this week and they are there, but young players ont he rise like Mike Walker have unknown potential. You pick them up and hold them for different reasons. ***By the way, keep an eye on his status, Walker was also injured last week, it reads in tthe early week injury report on the Huddle*** Edited October 7, 2008 by The Waterboy
Bronco Billy
Pick up Antwan Randle El or Antonio Bryant. Are you in his league, or are you just wildly speculating that Randle El & Bryant are on the waiver wire?
euphy
Are you in his league, or are you just wildly speculating that Randle El & Bryant are on the waiver wire? Both are better options than a 3rd receiver in a run heavy offense.
Bronco Billy
Both are better options than a 3rd receiver in a run heavy offense. They aren't better WW options if they are already rostered on someone else's team, are they?
H8tank
Both are better options than a 3rd receiver in a run heavy offense. The jags are passing more and more, and they will pass a lot this weekend vs. Denver. Mike Walker has the potential to be a very good WR, a true #1. Right now, there are lots of targets so the ball will be spread around, but he did have a nice week, and could have more, but could end up being an amani toomer like player... 2-3 down weeks, then a HUGE week to skew the stats. He spent his rook season last year on IR with knee issues, which he also battled all preseason and the first few games, he has an undisclosed knee hiccup after week 5, so if you have the room, he might be worth hoarding... If he is healthy, I will be starting him this weekend. If healthy, he will get his first NFL TD this week vs. Denver. ~ edit to add, he is 6'2" and 209#, perfect size for an elite WR.
