Thanks for any input: 1) Kirk Morrison ..Oak 2) Stewart Bradley..Philly 3) Freddie Keiaho..Indy 4) Ernie Simms..Det Bradley is the only one that has not had his bye week yet Scoring= INT 4, Tackles 2, Assists 1, sack 4. FF 2. FR 1, Pass def 1 When you say "long term", are you saying this is a dynasty league? Or for the rest of this season? Assuming this is for rest of the season. Let's eliminate one off the bat: Bradley. He's been pretty consistent, despite the emergence (finally) of Omar Gaither. I think he has the best chance at finding his numbers dipping. So that leaves Morrison, Sims and Keiaho. In my opinion, Sims is the top dog. Detroit is so horrible and that defense is going to spend a ton of time on the field. He hasn't really got going in stat categories other than tackles... something that will likely change. Between Keiaho and Morrison, it's pretty close. Keiaho is definitely coming on this season, but Gary Brackett is going to steal some stats. Morrison has to contend with Thomas Howard for stats, but IMO Brackett is more valuable than Howard. That said, I'd keep Morrison. He is filling up the box score. In order: 1. Sims 2. Morrison 3. Kieaho 4. Bradley

darin3
Morrison and Keiaho for me I almost said the same on first blush, but did you know Keiaho has ZERO stats beyond tackles this season? Yeah, he has 39 tackles in 4 games, but nothing else. The WLB in the Cover-2 has to put up better numbers than that. Back in the day, Derrick Brooks always filled up the box score from the Cover-2 WLB spot. Keiaho's young and talented, no doubt about that... but the fact he doesn't even have one pass defensed at this point gives me slight pause. For me, Sims and Morrison are the bigger playmakers. IE: they need those additional categories to keep pace yet they are still behind in the race Next a couple of did you knows: DYK Ernie Sims doesn't have any stats other then tackles and assists so far this year DYK that last year that outside of tackles Sims recorded 3 forced fumbles, 1 INT, 1/2 sack, 2 Pass Defendeds DYK Kirk Morrison has 1 forced fumble, 1 INT, 1 Sack & 1 pass defended(which came on his INT). DYK Morrison finished as the 10th best LB in both 2006 and 2007...in 2007 he recorded 1 FR, 4 INTS, 1 Sack, 10 PDs...his INTS and PDS were double his 2006 totals: 2006 he recorded 1FR, 1FF, 2 INTs, 1 Sack, 5 PDs DYK that in 2006 Cato June ranked as the #9 LB(his final year playing WLB in Indy) and he recorded 1FR, 1FF, 3 INTs, 1/2 sack, 4 PDs(remember 3 came from those INTs)... DYK that if you took away all those things from June in 2006 he would still have ranked 16th just on tackles and assists alone So that is why I like Kieaho so much....in spite of not recording any of those "extra" stats he is still producing and producing well...that and over the course of the season I expect that he will add some of those "extra" stats and still be a top 10 or better LB(i really think he can crack top 5 this year)...now with all that said it is going to be hard to expect Morrison to rank much higher then 10th since that is the best he has done the past 2 years and he has put up what seems to be slightly above average "extra" numbers....but I still expect him to approach 100 solos this year because I am still not sold on the Oakland offense being good enough to keep their D off the field very much. oh and i took a quick look at Brooks too: in 2004 he ranked 4th at LB...here are his "extras" 2 Forced Fumbles, 1 INT, 3 Sacks and 6 Passes Defended Edited October 9, 2008 by keggerz

How about looking at all those other years he was a stud? INTs, forced fumbles, TDs, passes defensed. I'm not saying Keiaho is a bad choice moving forward, especially in a tackle-heavy scoring format.
