Double Agent
Cowboys press conference just said that he's going in for an MRI. No news yet. Wade did say that Sam Hurd will have surgery on his ankle. Sounds like he's done for the year. Not that this makes a fantasy impact.
Riffraff
Linky Felix Jones Likely Out Couple Of WeeksPosted by mickshot at 10/13/2008 12:18 PM CDT on truebluefanclub.com So you thought bad just got worse with Tony Romo now out likely a month with a non-displaced fracture of his right little finger. Well, it's really worse that that. Cowboys rookie running back Felix Jones is getting an MRI on the strained hamstring he suffered in the 30-24 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, but from preliminary indications he will be out at least two weeks. Jones suffered the left hamstring strain on his 14-yard gain on second-and-six at the Arizona 49. Jones left the game at that point, never to return, His run spearheaded the Cowboys' touchdown drive, giving them a brief 14-7 lead the Cardinals wiped out on the ensuing possession. Jones finished the game with three carries for 22 yards, and without him on the field the Cowboys never again threatened the aggressive Cardinals defense in the running game. So not only will backup quarterbacks Brad Johnson and Brooks Bollinger has to step up, but so will rookie running back Tashard Choice. - Mickey Spagnola

Riffraff
Link The health of Felix Jones' hamstring just got much more important11:15 AM Mon, Oct 13, 2008 | Permalink | Yahoo! Buzz Tim MacMahon E-mail News tips Felix Jones should play a significant role in this offense no matter that. But the Cowboys especially need the rookie's explosiveness with Brad Johnson under center. The Cowboys obviously will have to rely on the running game more than when Tony Romo was running the show. And the running backs should play much bigger roles in the passing game with a QB teammates kiddingly call "Checkdown" operating the offense. Jones didn't say much after yesterday's loss, which he exited in the third quarter after straining his hamstring on a 14-yard run. "I'll be all right," he mumbled on his way out the locker room door. The Cowboys better hope he's right. UPDATE: Jones, who was getting stimulation treatment on his hamstring, said he expects to practice Wednesday. Guess we'll wait on those MRI results. Chargerz
Hamstring injuries can linger. I wouldn't be surprised if he were out 2 weeks. Or he could be that dreaded GTD.
Avernus
Hamstring injuries can linger. I wouldn't be surprised if he were out 2 weeks. Or he could be that dreaded GTD. they affect WR's much worse than RB's....the positions run differently as well... WR's run more upright and RB's run lower to the ground...so I expect him to miss 3 weeks..
