Tally
I find it strange that zero stats are projected for R. Williams this week. He will be practicing with the team as of today so he will have a few days to work on some plays and routes. He will also be the starting WR lined up across from TO on gameday. As a starter with a new starting QB (who is not currently locked onto any one receiver) Williams could certainly produce in his first week. I’m not saying he’s going for 100+ but I do think he is worthy of being a #3 WR in fantasy this week, especially since he’s playing against STL who is ranked 29th at giving up WR points. I will be starting him in both of the leagues that I own him in and I’m very surprised that DD didn’t project any stats for him, I couldn’t disagree more. Is anyone else starting him this week? piratesownninjas
Yeah, it's odd that he projects them to put up 27, and that a starter will be shut out on that team.
Tally
What would be your projection for him? 3-4 rec and 30-50 yards and I would not be the least bit shocked if he caught a TD. If the Cowboys were playing the Ravens or Titans this week I may not have posted this thread but their not. Their playing the Rams who not only suck but are also due for a let down game after last weeks very emotional first win. Both B. Johnson and R. Williams are startable this week IMO. Not really the point anyway, the point is ZERO stats? Edited October 15, 2008 by Tally
Kansas State 2000
Dallas will have to activate him for the game first. So zero is correct for now.
Savage Beatings
It wouldn't surprise me at all if the very first play from scrimmage this week is a very safe, high percentage short pass from Brad Johnson to Roy Williams. Just as a way to get them both into the groove.

DMD
I will update it on Friday as needed. Realize it just happened yesterday afternoon as I was doing all 14 games. I need a little time to digest it and see what will happen since he was still physically in Detroit yesterday.
Riffraff
Good info from someone else: When Chambers was traded to the Chargers last season he had an extra week of practice with Rivers due to their week 7 bye. Here were his numbers for his first three games as a Charger: vs Hou 2 rec 35 yds 1 td vs MIN 5 rec 59 yds 0 td vs IND 2 rec 17 yds 0 td I would be surpised if RW perfomed much better given the circumstances. Gonkis
Brutal crowd. I have to imagine every post like this just makes an option for retirement seem a little better for good 'ol DMD. It would be different if this was phrased as a real discussion on what his stats might be, but if you're disappointed, wow. And if your lineups are due on Wednesday morning, find a new league. BillyBalata
especially since he’s playing against STL who is ranked 29th at giving up WR points. ah...but that was before the coaching change in STL. Last week the Rams D held Santana Moss to a measly 22 yards and Jason Campbell barely broke 200 yards passing in the Rams first win of the year. Be wary of the Rams D the rest of the year! whomper
I predict 6 catches 167 yards and 8 tds (some of the catches will be some incredibale they will count twice)
isleseeya
He will be on Special Teams only this week so he has time to get used to the dallas playbook but at least he gets to put uniform on ...good idea to start Dallas Def as such

Mojo Rising
The Cowboys plan to use Roy Williams in Week 7 against the Rams. Coordinator Jason Garrett's system is digital like the one Williams played in for Detroit, but it will probably take him another week to get starter's snaps. Considering the matchup, though, he's not an awful WR3 bet. It will be interesting to see if Dallas puts Williams at Z receiver. He was an X in Detroit, but that's Terrell Owens' position and T.O. probably won't move. http://cowboysblog.dallasnews.com/archives...-play-this.html

Don't be so sensitive. I didn't say I was disappointed, I just said I was surprised by the zero stat prediction and disagreed with it, that's all. IMO it seems odd to predict no stats for a starting player on a team that’s expected to score 27 points. It's really no biggie, just seemed strange and it's certainly nothing to get upset over or consider retirement over. You reek of drama queen... keep an eye on your mailbox, there’s a bottle of perfume and a box of tissue coming your way. Is there even such a thing as a league that has lineups that are due on Wed? Never heard of that, not that I have any idea how lineup deadlines pertain to this topic anyway.

Most of us realize DMD's putting these out ahead of time and Friday is the adjustment day if any is warranted. It's not like he does all this in the last 2 seconds before they get posted on the site. After Friday, and you still disagree, by all means post your heart out. To do it now is sensless.
