In post-game interviews on the radio, Haslett said JAckson will have an MRI tomorrow morning to look at a quad injury. Bulger was interviewed a few minutes later and said Jackson told him he felt and heard a pop and that it wouldn't surprise him if Jackson missed a week or two.

Neither guy is a doctor, and nothing official, but there is at least cause for concern.

Not wishing injury on anybody, but as a Cowboys fan, that "pop" came about 3 hours too late.

It was very late in the 4th quarter when he did it. He limped off the field and headed to the locker room.

With his pants wide open, by the way. I'm not tryin' to see that, ya know?

Rams RB Jackson, DT Carriker injured in win

Posted: October 19th, 2008 | NFL.com Staff | Tags: Adam Carriker, St. Louis Rams, Steven Jackson

The St. Louis Rams exited Sunday’s 34-14 win over the Cowboys with injuries to RB Steven Jackson and DT Adam Carriker. Rams coach Jim Haslett said during his postgame news conference it’s too early to tell the severity of either injury.

Jackson sustained a thigh injury and is scheduled to have an MRI exam on Monday morning.

“It is just a little bruise,” said Jackson, who rushed for 160 yards and three touchdowns. “We are going to do some more tests and have an MRI in the morning just to make sure. It is just a little tight but I am able to walk and move it so that is a good sign they said.”

I hope that what Jackson told Bulger was just heat-of-the-moment stuff and he turns out to be fine. Because the way they played today, is it freakin' crazy to think they could go to NE next week and steal one?

Woah, talk me down, someone, I'm talkin' crazy.

Steven Jackson - RB - St. Louis Rams Posted 10/19/08 8:37pm et

NFL.com reports St. Louis Rams RB Steven Jackson (thigh) suffered a thigh injury during the team's Week 7 game. The severity of the injury is not known. He will undergo an MRI Monday, Oct. 20. 'It is just a little bruise. We are going to do some more tests and have an MRI in the morning just to make sure. It is just a little tight but I am able to walk and move it so that is a good sign they said,' Jackson said.

The Huddle's Take: Jackson will be evaluated further on Monday on his injury but had a big day for the Rams in Week 7 as he carried the ball 25 times for 160 yards and 3 touchdowns in the game. If Jackson was to miss any time then backup running backs Brian Leonard and Travis Minor would get the carries in his absence.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Wasn't Brian Leonard already placed on IR earlier this season or am I mistaken. If so, would Minor be the main guy or are there any other candidates that could be in the mix?

Leapin' Leonard is indeed on IR as of the last week or so. Travis Minor - woo-hoo.

That's what I was afraid of. What about Antonio Pittman is he still there and healthy? Figured if he was, we would've seen him out there instead of Minor.

Pittman has not played since week two with a mysterious "lower leg injury". I wonder if it's really his twig and berries, too?
