mlittle1105
In an effort to try to "ice" (psych-out) the kicker. Blew up in the coach's face this time around. I hope the Jets win, in spite of Favre's lousy performance today.

Medal of Honor
If anyone saw the Atlanta game last week, same thing happened. The kick got BLOCKED, but because the coach called a timeout, Atlanta got another chance and made it to win the game. Whoops!
Skilly
I think the general rule of thumb is that you don't leave any timeouts left unused, especially if there is only like 5 seconds left on the clock in the game. The idea of trying to "ice" the kicker is a good one: however, when you call timeout at the last second and they get the ball off, that just serves as a practice kick for the kicker, IMO. Just call the TO earlier, I say.
