tonyr0802
Anquan Boldin (sinus surgery) has a chance to be medically cleared Tuesday, but revealed that his injuries after a helmet-to-helmet hit by Eric Smith in Week 4 were more serious than the Cardinals let on.Boldin had eight plates put into his face and wires placed in his lower jaw to correct his bite, causing him to lose 10 pounds he's since regained. He was also concussed, but passed a concussion test last week. Boldin's surgeon will remove the wires on Tuesday and inform Q if he can resume practicing. If Boldin gets the green light, he should play in Week 8 at Carolina. This seems like a pretty significant injury to me, especially to be coming back 2-3 weeks after it happened. Anyone have any more information?
Bill Swerski
That's going to make airport security a real pain in the ass. But seriously, that's really unfortunate and I hope that he's healing up OK. I can't believe that one hit did that much damage. Wow... Kansas State 2000
He's out for awhile.
Double Agent
He's out for awhile. I don't think so. I think he's back either this week or next. Arizona had too much to play for right now. My biggest concern is his emotional state. That was a big hit and can make even the studliest of WRs a little tentative when crossing the middle. Avernus
looks like Breaston still has some value...

Bill Swerski
I don't think so. I think he's back either this week or next. Arizona had too much to play for right now. If I have eight plates in my face and my jaw wired shut, I don't come back until at least December. And I seriously consider sitting out the season. Isn't Boldin in a contract year? If so, that may explain why he reportedly wants to come back so soon.

Chargerz
But seriously, that's really unfortunate and I hope that he's healing up OK. I can't believe that one hit did that much damage. Wow... The video showed how hard he got hit. I really thought he was going to be paralyzed. From what I'm reading he came close to having the bone crushed and the pieces possibly driven into his brain. It's incredible to me that he might actually return to football this year.

I understand that these guys have a different mindset and all, but I just can't imagine getting back on the field so soon after that. If at all, really. Chaim.Witz
I once saw this dude from Africa in National Geographic, with about that many plates in his face. I don't believe he ever played in the NFL after getting them. Good Luck Boldin!
pookies_CrAck
Was it just me, or did the hit on Ike Hilliard Sunday night make his arms lock up exactly like Boldin's did when he took that hit? What is it that causes a man's arms to lock up like that? Either way, both hits were gruesome. Get well soon Anquan/Ike.
