Brian Billick?

Technically not an interim, his title is "Head Coach" though in order to not run afoul of the "Rooney Rule," his contract must expire at the end of the season and the Rams will technically have to interview a minority candidate before they offer him the renewal that they are rumored to have already negotiated.

Probably 90% chance the job is his, especially in light of two victories and a dramatic clubhouse turnaround.

I agree. They'll either find jobs in NCAA, or take coordinator positions.

I'll take just about any one of them at the University of Washington, or Washington State...

Also, I sort of wish Jim Zorn would have been named the successor to Walrus. He's looking pretty good in D.C.

Wade Phillips is not on the hot seat, if you want to believe Jerry Jones, and why shouldn't you, he recently stated that ehy Cowboys were not going after a WR.

Cowboys | Jones says Phillips will finish season

Tue, 21 Oct 2008 11:24:14 -0700

Rick Herrin, of Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports Dallas Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones said head coach Wade Phillips will not be fired during the season. "No. No circumstances at all. I know that my fans are down in the mouth over last night. ...You've got the answer. Absolutely, he is going to finish the season," Jones said.

Dick Vermeil should be added to the list of those available, as he has been mentioned in various reports.

Also, might be a good idea to add "Viable Coordinators as Coaches" to the list.

Your 1st two names:

Steve Spagnuolo - NYG

Jason Garrett - DAL

I'd add Herm to the list of hopefuls. You know, for being fired. Put Carl Peterson on that list while you're at it.

All noted.

However, I wouldn't be surprised to see a change with Phillips in the offseason... Especially with JJ's man-love for Garrett.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Dungy leave at the end of this season. Hasn't he mentioned possibly resigning over the past few seasons? That defense needs to be rebuilt and it looks like the team's window has closed.

Jim Fassel available, even in 2008 it was rumored he could end up with the skins. Add his name.

done.

Linehan was an OC at Washington for a couple years in the late 90s, but considering he hasn't coached at the collegiate level since then, and had some success as an OC at the NFL level, I imagine that he won't want to immediately step down to the collegiate rankes when the UW starts interviewing people on December 8th.

Kiffin, as I've mentioned in other threads, is a logical candidate for the Husky job. Nolan is an NFL guy, having not coached at the collegiate level for two decades. And Paul Wulff at WSU is a Cougar and not going to get fired for a few more years.
