Chief
Has Boldin been cleared by the doctors to play?
Smackdown
Anquan Boldin had the wires removed from his surgically repaired jaw on Tuesday and participated in Cardinals practice Wednesday. Counting Monday's workout, Boldin's now taken part in consecutive practices and it appears he has been medically cleared. Still, Q is expected to be a game-day decision in Week 8 and will likely be called questionable on Friday. Outshined
Here is another link: http://www.azcentral.com/members/Blog/KentSomers/36636 I'm told receiver Anquan Boldin had the wires removed from his jaw yesterday, as expected, and Boldin is participating today in his second consecutive practice. I'll have more on his condition after practice, but my guess is that no decision about his status will be announced this week. Boldin likely will go through all the workouts this week but we won't know for sure if he's playing or not until Sunday in Carolina.

Scooby
"I got laid off when they closed that asbestos FSU factory, and wouldn't you know it, the army NFL cuts my disability pension because they said that the plate in my head wasn't big enough." i_am_the_swammi
Per Rotonews this AM: Boldin granted medical clearance by surgeon The Arizona Republic confirms that Anquan Boldin (head, jaw) has been medically cleared for contact by his surgeon. Boldin has resumed practicing in limited fashion and all signs point to him facing the Panthers in Week 8. However, expectations should be guarded for this week. Boldin lost a good amount of weight (10-15 pounds) when his jaw was wired shut and may not be in full football-playing shape yet. Carolina's pass defense is also playing quite well, ranking second in the NFL. Oct. 22 - 5:40 pm et And from the East Valley Tribune (Arizona): Cards notebook: Boldin says body will let him know if he’ll play Mike Tulumello, Tribune Though he made no promises, Anquan Boldin sounded like somebody who intends to play on Sunday. Boldin returns to practice, hopes to return Sunday Boldin, who is recovering from facial fractures suffered on a big hit in a game against the New York Jets three weeks ago, practiced on Wednesday, then said, “I’m going to take it one day at a time. “Hopefully, everything plays out to my liking. … Everything felt good. I kind of head-butted some guys to see how it feels. I didn’t feel any pressure from it.” Boldin knows he could get hit in the same place after he takes the field. “My feeling is, if it’s going to happen, it’s going to happen. I can’t go the whole game worrying about it. … Then you haven’t played to your full potential.” In making the decision on whether to play, in concert with the Cardinals’ medical staff and coaches, “You have to listen to your body,” Boldin said. “That’s the best indictor. “The body lets you know if you can go. It also lets you know if you can’t.” Boldin said wires were removed from his mouth Tuesday, but metal plates that were implanted are to stay in permanently. BETTING ON BOLDIN The Panthers are expecting Boldin to play. In part, that’s because of backup quarterback Josh McCown, the former Cardinal who is friends with Boldin. Starter Jake Delhomme said McCown told him, “ ‘I promise you he’s going to be on the field.’ ” Boldin said he’s been talking to McCown this week. “He’s been messing with me about it,” Boldin said. “He told me to sit out for one more week.”
Bier Meister
any ideas on how much he'll be used?
haywood
Per ESPN's John Clayton, they said he would start but not play the whole game. He'll play roughly 30-35 plays give or take. However I'm willing to bet that if he comes in and is effective, they aren't going to pull him.
