Bricktop
Did Berman just say that Plax isn't going to start today because he missed a neck treatment with team dr's???? He's still playing I guess but not starting. Anyone else hear this???
Grits and Shins
He is not starting for disciplinary reasons ... furthermore it sounded like they would only play him if the game situation dictated he was needed.
baddfish2
Yep, that's what he said. I've read reports "elsewhere" that Jay Glazer indicated Burress won't start, and MAY not play at all, depending on how the offense moves without him. Bill Swerski
Are you f'in kidding me? That's the last time I ever draft this chump.
Robash
word on the street is its only for the first series...so you owners can hope for an opening 3 and out by the Giants

Robash
http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2008/10...hed_by_new.html Something tells me Mr. Burress will be playing for a differant organization next season. Can't say I would be upset about ti either with Hixon, Moss, Manningham , and Tyree waiting in the wings Edited October 26, 2008 by Robash
Grits and Shins
Jeebus. I have Holmes and Plaxico with not a lot behind them. In Hannibals my WRs are Plaxico, Berrian (off), Reggie Brown (hurt), Nate Washington (just acquired), Steve Smith (NYG - just acquired), Malcom Floyd (just acquired) ... this week I cut Gage, Galloway and Branch. Can't say I would be upset about ti either with Hixon, Moss, Manningham , and Tyree waiting in the wings Report: Burress benched by New York Giants again by Mike Garafolo/The Star-Ledger Sunday October 26, 2008, 12:15 PM 12:20 p.m. UPDATE Someone familiar with the situation believes Burress will be benched for only the opening series. I haven't confirmed that yet. Stay tuned. FOX's Jay Glazer is reporting WR Plaxico Burress has been benched for missing a couple of injury treatment sessions late last week. It's unclear if he'll be benched for the entire game or just a part of it. Also, no word yet on a suspension. If true, this will be another fine. This is getting ridiculous. He's losing more money than Wall Street. More to come.
Bill Swerski
Something tells me Mr. Burress will be playing for a differant organization next season. The Giants just gave him a big contract a couple of months ago, and I imagine that the cap hit to move him would be substantial. That really sucks for the Giants. Anyway, thanks for the update on Burress.
Robash
no cap in 2010/11 right? cut him after next June 1rst and they don't have to worry about it. Or trade him for a draft pick, I'd be happy with a Moss'esque 4th
Grits and Shins
No fear ... Plax will go off today ... I just benched him for Steve Smith (NYG)
rocknrobn26
No fear ... Plax will go off today ... I just benched him for Steve Smith (NYG) And I'm geting ready to put in Hixon for him!

Is it definitely going to be uncapped in 2010, or is that just how it would be without an agreed-upon CBA?
Robash
well if the CBA isn't re-upped im under the impresison that it will be an uncapped year...i'm sure a last second deal will come through though. I'd imagine they would trade him though...surely there are teams that would line up to get his services.
