Bier Meister Posted November 2, 2008 Share Posted November 2, 2008 (edited) i'll try to document my vacation dining for you guys. day 1- sansei ate family style (tapas).. panko crusted ahi roll sansei shrimp dynamite miso butterfish miso-yaki chicken broiled miso garlic prawns thin ramen everything was outstanding! day 2- i made banana pancakes, bacon, and eggs for breakfast pineapple grill for lunch. i ordered a chicken katsu sandwich. was awesome. dinner.. was craving kimo's. been going there since i was about 10. not the finest dining, but the seafood is consistantly fresh and good. i ordered opa (a fish i don't get often) with a lemon, garlic, basil glaze... was good but wife's and father's was better... coconut crusted opa with a thai peanut sauce... can't remember the name of the fish (started with an M- not mahi mahi smart asses) filled with a lobster stuffing. day 3- lunch at aloha mixed plate...some of the best teriyaki i've had. and dinner at old lahaina luau. good for a buffet. steak was all well they did a nice job with the show/dancing. open bar day 4- lunch: merriman's. i ordered a kalua pok sandwich.. had a very good dry, red cabbage slaw and homemade topical bbq sauce. wife ordered fish tacos. they were unique (can't remember the description). very nice restaurant. dinner: we all wanted something quicker and simple..went out for chinese and it was fantastic. saimin chicken wraps char siu (bbq pork) mu shu shrimp shrimp with honey glazed cashews mongolian beef (spiciest i've ever had) beef chow fun day 5- lunch: hula grill. i ordered a fish sandwich. had a cilantro/jalapeno aioli dinner: went back to sansei 2 orders of that chicken 2 orders of the dynamite chicken udon noodles did a shrimp cake tempura calimari day 6- lunch at the ritz in kapalua dinner: feast at lele. very good.. much better than the luau Edited November 7, 2008 by Bier Meister Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
