Robash
(RotoWire) Williams suffered a torn ligament in his left knee Sunday, the Associated Press reports. Analysis: Early reports suggest that it's his MCL that was damaged. More specifics as they are available, but it doesn't sound good for the Broncos' leading tackler. having a great season too Edited November 3, 2008 by Robash

Tford
I wonder how the Broncos handle this. Hopefully BB can jump in and weigh in here. The way I see it, the Broncos do one of three things. 1) Keep Webster at Mike and Winborn at Sam. Bring up Spencer Larsen (IMO the best non-starting LB they have) to play Will. 2) Keep Webster at Mike and slide Winborn over to Will. Bring up Larsen to play Sam. 3) Keep Winborn at Sam and slide Webster over to Will. Bring up Larsen (or Koutouvides) to play Mike.
Robash
Wasn't Niko making some noise in the pre-season? I know i almost drafted him in the AOTAOP vet draft, think i went with Diles instead ;P
Tford
Wasn't Niko making some noise in the pre-season? I know i almost drafted him in the AOTAOP vet draft, think i went with Diles instead ;P That was a good call Niko was signed in the offseason to be spoonfed the Mike job as it was clear DJ would return to the weak side. Niko was beaten for the Mike job by Webster in camp. I don't think Shanahan likes Niko at all. Conversely, Larsen has been a special teams demon this year. Who knows what Skeletor will do? Tford
Just read that the Broncos are likely to continue to use Woodyard and Green to cover WIlliams spot. Odd that Larsen isn't getting a look.

Tford
they moved larsen to FB I realize this. But we all saw what Hillis can do yesterday. And I know what I saw in TC/preseason out of Larsen. I have a tough time believing that the Broncos wouldn't be better off rolling Hillis out fulltime at FB and moving Larsen back to LB. Maybe I'm just not a believer in Woodyard. Edited November 3, 2008 by Tford
Robash
That was a good call Actually Niko went 24 rounds earlier...so it wasnt between him and Diles. Good value none the less 40.04 628. Sun City Little Blue Pills Diles, Zach HOU LB
Sturphy
DJ was absolutely killing it! Good thing I didn't trade (give) away an LB like I was desperate to do for some stupid reason that I'll never understand beyond the stupid need to make trades for the sake of change and the weird thrill of something new and... *inhale* Hey Keg, how's it goin? Bronco Billy
they moved larsen to FB Larsen is working at both FB & MLB. The guy hits like a runaway semi. Just read that the Broncos are likely to continue to use Woodyard and Green to cover WIlliams spot. Odd that Larsen isn't getting a look. Larsen is a MLB. The other guys including Williams are OLBs. And I can't freakin' wait until Larsen replaces that turd Webster. Webster has great tackle numbers - 6 yds downfield, and he couldn't cover my grandmother on a circle route out of the backfield. I was hoping to sneak Woodyard onto my DTS in ATAP for $1... as soon as DJ got hurt and I saw a thread I knew you wouldnt be responding until after waivers...fwiw, i was on woodyards as soon as I heard about the injury(winborn too)....I overpaid because I figured you might blow your final $$ on one or both of them

Woodyard might have his opportunities limited a bit because his lack of experience might get him pulled in some passing situations, but overall he's going to get better chances at putting up numbers than Winborn. GL, GB.

I know Winborn is starting at SLB but with the injury and byes I wanted another warm body...and it still is one of those anything could happen type deals with the Swiss Cheese D in Denver...but my hope was that Woodyard does end up getting the bulk of the WLB snaps and Winborn continues to get his snaps too...
