msaint
Per Rotoworld...a two'fer deal...Ouch. Broncos placed Michael Pittman and Andre Hall on injured reserve, ending their seasons. We'll see plenty of Ryan Torain now. Pittman was a godsend for the Broncos, stabilizing a weak RB crew with tough running and versatile play. He finishes the year with 432 total yards and a 4.2 yards-per-carry average to go with four scores. Pittman's career is year-to-year, but the Broncos may invite him back to camp in 2009. Torain and Selvin Young are the last men standing. Edited November 3, 2008 by msaint

MrTed46
This explains why they weren't running yesterday. Too bad, i like Pittman. I love Pittman...he is a great 3rd down back and I didnt think he could have handled the whole load by himself. Torain did look funny with his black brace on. Riffraff
Who's the practice squad guy? PJ Pope? Knowing the Broncos, he's the play here.
Skilly
Looks like the great scapegoat, "the injury bug", will be the excuse this year. I understand that football is a rough sport, but there seems to be an inordinate amount of injuries to Broncos players in the last few years. And I have come to understand this truth: If Denver loses a starting player, especially during a game, they have no depth or ability to make up for that missing player. The coaches are doing a terrible job in making adjustments, and perhaps it's even time to fire the training staff and start fresh.
detlef
I know it's the wrong place but would you guys drop Fargas in favor of Torain? And who ranks higher for the rest of the year Torain or Jamal Lewis? Um, Torain has 1 yard on 3 carries so far. I don't think that puts him ahead of J Lewis. I'm not answering the other because, as you said, it's not the right place.

Chaim.Witz
this just means Cutler will throw the ball 40+ times a game... So you DO think Torain will cut into Cutler's passing attempts.
Cowboyz1
I have been holding on to him for just this reason. However, I still worry owning him as Shanahan might just decide find a way to screw me this week by using him as a decoy and line plunging the full back 20 times. Man I hate denver's backfield. Here's to fingures crossed and Bush getting healthy fast.
Square
I own Torain, Hightower, and Rice in my dynasty league! Now I don't have to start that POS SJax every week! I guess I don't understand the resentment of Sjax. He started off a little slow, but in my league his points have been 8, 11, 14, 28, 9, 38, 1 of the games he has played. Those scores don't seem too bad (I drafted him at 1.11). The team was playing better and he was doing well until he got an injury. That is bad news, but seems like a stretch to call him a POS. Just my 2 cents... Anyway, I'm considering picking up Torain just to keep him off my opponents roster's. There are a few good teams that are weak at the RB#2 spot. I'd like to keep them that way but it is too bad I have to use a roster spot on Rosenfels now. Hopefully one of the bad teams in my league grab him. Denver looks like a mess, but if they are short people...the kid has to get some looks. Edited November 4, 2008 by Square
