Per Trent Dilfer:

ESPN's Trent Dilfer reports that Brady Quinn will start at quarterback for the Browns Thursday against the Broncos.

It's a short week to prepare, but Quinn gets the easiest matchup possible against Denver. He'll do well. Quinn can put up solid QB 1/2 stats the next few weeks (Denver, Buffalo, Houston), but his schedule gets much harder after that: Indy, Tennessee, and Philly. Sage Rosenfels should be a better pickup over the next month, but not this week. Nov. 3 - 5:02 pm et

Thanks for the info...I lost both Shuab and Orton this week so I will traget Quinn now.

Maybe this opens the door to Braylon-g

brady quinn is NOT the answer. i am tired of browns fans here campaigning for brady and saying DA sucks. is DA to blame for underachieving receivers that cant catch the football? is he makin passes bounce off braylon's hands? stallworth has been hurt or hasnt done anything on the field. kellen hasnt done anything. the only guy i can think of who has stepped up is syndric steptoe. im not gonna say DA has played perfect and none of the blame can be placed on him, he still doesnt step up in the pocket when being pressured. he is not the sole reason for the browns pathetic offense thus far though.

brady quinn is a BUST....mark it down

I would not go that far...true Anderson's not the sole reason the team's in a funk but it IS the easiest fix. They ain't gonna fire Romeo so fire the QB...

Quinn won't help Braylon's drops. Won't help Winslow's contract impasse. Won't help the defense keep a rookie from running for a 150 yards. But will appease the fans. Until his first INT on Thursday. And what a game to make the switch. National TV. Sweet.

From what I've seen in the national televised games Anderson looked half decent. I saw many of dropped passes, and what appeared to me as a very vanilla offense that seemed predictable. If the play calls arent gonna change and the receivers continue to flounder, I dont see any improvement with the QB switch. In the pre-season Brady was the dink and dunk king, so I guess as long as Brady can move the chains the Browns will score more points. Just dont expect to see many passes over 20 yards with the exception of a broken coverage here and there. The running game from what I understand is probably the main reason the Browns are not the same team as last season. Lewis is all but washed up. Not a homer, and havent seen all the games, but that 's my observation from what I have seen. Hopefully Brady can do something. Im just not very optimistic that anything will change.
