irish
Looking for KC homers or anyone in general who may have any info. in regard to LJ's status upon his return after suspension in Week 11. I have heard (speculating) that once LJ serves his one game suspension that he will be suspended for 4 more games and if not that he will be made inactive or not used because the Chiefs want to change their image. The running duties would be left to Jamaal Charles. Anyone hear anything like that?
fingfootball
link The Chiefs haven’t said whether Johnson might return to the starting lineup after the suspension, and the topic has become a touchy one around Arrowhead Stadium. For now, that leaves three running backs on the Chiefs’ roster, two of them rookies and the other a practice-squad player until this week. WashingtonD
I've heard the opposite on local talk radio here in Boston...they were speculating that the Chiefs would look to feature Johnson for the rest of the season in the hopes he will perform well to raise his trade value out of the toilet and into a slightly less dirty toilet so as to trade him in the off season. Personally, I think they are likely to keep him on the team, on the bench in case they need him given their shallow depth at RB now. 19 million of his salary is guaranteed so you'd think waiving him in the off season isn't really much of an option. Anyone hear anything like that? no, quite frankly they have made a statement to him by not letting him play and then the commish giving him one game to come to 4, which is what Goodell would have most likely handed down had the Chiefs brushed it under the rug. My pure specualtion is that the reason that he only got 1 game from the NFL was that they anticipated a 4 game suspension and they thought they might get a easy on him suspension from Goodell if they sat him. It appears that's what happened, so I would anticipate that he plays some after being worked back into the mix. His days of being the feature back are more than likely over. Maybe that's where the speculation came from, cause that 4 more sure sounds awfully convient since he got 4.

I was wondering because LJ has a pretty nice schedule going forward after his return. He gets to face the Bills, Raiders, Broncos, Chargers and Dolphins. That's 3 out of 5 decent to great matchups. Swampnuts
Why be stupid about this if you're the Chiefs? He's clearly the best option they have at the position, so freakin' play him! The Broncos didn't sit down Brandon Marshall when his sentence was reduced did they? You don't change your image by getting your azz kicked every week with your best players on the bench. Didn't Coach Herm once say... "You play to win the game"?
