Tega
Has there been any word on Santonio Holmes' punishment for getting caught with Josh Gordon? What is the apporx. amount of games to be suspended for such an arrest? Was it his 1st offense? When do you think the suspension may take place? If I'm correct, Holmes was caught with Josh Gordon in his car and he openly admited that he smoke some the day before.
Bananaman
Who cares? Drop him now. I dropped him two weeks ago and picked up Nate Washington. He's going to be the guy out there.

Grimm74
Big time Steelers fan....and I think you guys are incorrect. (Unless Holmes continues his drops) Holmes is the man...Holmes was targeted a lot in the Wash game....a lot more then Washington... The biggest problem here is Ben spreads the ball around. so to nail down a consistent WR will be very difficult...Good luck
Skippy
Take a deap breath and then go re-read Grimm74. No way you drop Holmes in favor of Nate Washington.

Nate Washington was targeted 4x. Im just saying. Nate is the guy they isolate against the nickel coverage and try to stretch the field with. He is a one trick pony that has been fooling defenses using Holmes as a decoy. That likely will change as the season progresses. Holmes is more of a playmaker. but true, they do spread it around alot so you never really know (especially between Holmes and Ward) who the primary receiver is going to be. Tega
Well, I picked up Nate Washington and kept Holmes to be safe. If Holmes gets suspended I believe Nate Washington will produce more pts than Holmes has been averaging. Holmes has been a HUGE disappointment. If Ben has to sit it may help HOlmes. Leftwich was really throwing to Holmes. Thanks to all who responded to my post.
Sunday Couch Potatoe
But nobody answered whether or not there will be a suspension. I would sure like to pickup another wr as i have holmes and washington and will never start them both. So anyone have any info on this situation from past offenders like this? Favre4ever
I believe you get a suspension on your 3rd offense with drugs...This was his first offense so I'd say no suspension is imminent.
loaf
why is he still on yer roster?
ABearWithFurniture
The biggest problem here is Ben gets spreads out on the ground. Fixed...
jjpro11
if he gets suspended, it will be for probably only one game.
CrazyOne
Update on this: Hearing postponed until Feb 26, after the season. Thus, if he is suspended, it will be next season. http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/08329/930414-66.stm (Okay, yeah, I made a big assumption there, but if they were going to suspend him before the hearing, they would have done it already, methinks.) Savage Beatings
Busted red-handed with blow... no problem. The league will look the other way for the rest of the season. But don't you dare say even a somewhat negative word about the quality of the officiating in the league or the hammer will be brought down upon yer skull instantly! Some really weird standards being applied when it comes to discipline in the NFL. Edited November 25, 2008 by Savage Beatings

Both are illegal, but, I believe that cocaine is a bigger problem.
