gsmayes
I should have known, Fox always sticks with the veteran even if he's terrible.

tazinib1
I'm here lol. Yep very disappointed to say the least. I still have very high hopes for Stewart as I think he is the future in Carolina. I'm expecting BIG things from him next year :crossfingers:
rebdog
frustrating situation for fantasy football in the Carolina backfield. i drafted Williams as a rook. but Fox continued to give Foster carries. i eventually traded Williams and drafted Stewart this year. and guess what, Williams gets the carries now. would've been nice if Fox would've let Williams do more of the work when Foster was still around. gsmayes
Which DeAngelo clearly is not... Um, did I say he was? God, I really, really hate emoticons. I guess you've forgotten about DeShaun Foster getting more playing time than he deserved and Stephen Davis before him, just because they where vets? DemonKnight
Um, did I say he was? God, I really, really hate emoticons. I guess you've forgotten about DeShaun Foster getting more playing time than he deserved and Stephen Davis before him, just because they where vets? Okay, no emoticons then... Stephen Davis was an elite back when he was picked up by Carolina (2003). His first season with teh Panthers he had 1400+ and 8. Are you contending that Foster could ever have put up those numbers? He's never come close. So 2006 DeShaun shines and gains 829 and 3... 2007, I agree DeAngelo should have been featured have been used more. 2008 - The Panthers draft, IMO, the best RB in the college game. Meanwhile they still have a proven commodity in DeAngelo with a 4+yps average on the roster. They use them both effectively. What exactly are you questioning? Sorry yer fantasy team sucks. It aint John Fox's fault. Edited November 13, 2008 by DemonKnight

Square
2007, I agree DeAngelo should have been featured have been used more. Guess thats why Fox is a multi-year, NFC champion coach and you are sitting here trying to second guess him. Um, DeAngelo should have played more....if you agree than why are you biting off someone's head about stating that Fox sticks with his veterans? I don't know either of you. It just doesn't make sense. Dungy has won a superbowl and ran an elite team for several years...and he has made some stupid decisions in games. A good record doesn't make a coach infallible. Everyone besides Fox thought that Foster was a boat anchor and they should have played DWill more. So other than the Davis comment...I don't see what we are disagreeing about. I guess its still early for me so sorry if I don't get it.

Wayne Fontes is implying that Fox has some kind of history of sticking with his vets over his obviously more talented" rookies. I contend that there was a single season that this occurred. P.S. It's not you, I was a couple Rumple Minze shots in and there are some logical errors in my post. ETA: Too many errors to correct, guess I lose the ability to proofread when I drink. Good to know. Riffraff
Would have to go check out the pre-season 20 questions thread. I know I thought McFadden would be ROY. Little did I know...
