i_am_the_swammi
Anyone else thinking he ends up in Denver for an audition? Was mixed out of the equation behind Graham/Dunn and now Williams, and saw little time behind LJ/ in KC the last couple yaers. A career 4.4 YPC, and not beaten-up these last few years could extend his warranty. He's only 30, is in game-shape, and could likely add something to a team with nothing. i_am_the_swammi
I said as much in the Caddy thread. I hope he comes here! I like him more than any of the active RBs on our roster. Might be worth a flyer in deeper...if I were Denver, I'd sign him immediately (knowing he was fit enough to be on TB's roster). Seems he could also potentially be of use to Redskins, pending the Portis/Betts knee injuries.
Riffraff
Roto: Chargers claimed Michael Bennett off waivers from the Bucs, according to NFL Network's Adam Shefter. It's an odd fit, but the Bolts knew Denver was desperate for a running back and decided to block them. Denver indeed put in a claim, meaning Tatum Bell's stay with the team could have been brief. Instead, Bennett will rot on the Chargers bench.
Randall
He hasn't been hurt for a while now. Michael Bennett Tatum Bell Now there's a backfield to be proud of. Not a good year for Denver running backs.
Rileyrott
Desperation fantasy football-type move by the Chargers. Playing keepaway?
Riffraff
Currently, the difference between being in first place and being in second is the non-fumble call. Bennett's contract is minimal and in the unlikely event Sproles gets picked up by another team (he's a restricted free agent), they'll have short term coverage for the loss. But I'd assume they draft another guy next year and release Bennett in the off-season. Much like keeping Turner around, Bennett may make decent depth come play-off time. I know I was wrong on Hester's impact this year.
