The best Rams player on the field was Antonio Pittmann, 14 for 95, again a lot of that was garbage time though. Bulger was miserable. I think he is either injured or hears footsteps constantly. Doesn't explain how poor our D is, but time on the field and turnovers might... Well, the Cowboys went on to prove that without Romo, they were very beatable, but as for the Redskins win I can't explain at all. Maybe there is a short-lived adreneline rush that comes with a new coach. SJax was certainly a factor as cre8tiff says, he looked awesome in those games. It's horribly frustrating. It's almost funny to hear the radio personalites try to keep the story and the interest in the Rams going. 1st 4 week losses went from losing to better teams to primarily coaching and a lack of D. Then bye week. Then we squeeked by the redskins and you should have heard all the praise being sung. Then we whooped Dallas and we just had this magical new team, with shiny new coaching and everything! Yeah, well since then we have looked like pathetic little children, except for "mabye" the pats game, at least we showed up for that one. I'm glad I found FF, because if rooting for this pathetic excuse of a team would just destroy football for me all together. I'll state it for the record, The team sucks. Bulger sucks, our defense sucks, our coaching staff sucks, our O-line might be the worst in the NFL right now, our special teams are certainly "special". Avery is our only WR with any hope, Jackson's secret identy is "Captain Injury". I miss anything? Avernus Posted November 18, 2008 Share Posted November 18, 2008 as an Eagles fan, I'd give anything to trade places with a Rams fan as long as we can have that '99 superbowl.... but you can't blame Haslett or say he isn't doing the job when he no longer has his "stud RB" nor a competent defense to boot... this team needs to continue addressing the OL and DL as soon as the offseason hits before they address any other position....and then maybe next year they can get a QB in the draft....along with a few other skill position players.... but I'd definitely try to move Holt for a draft pick, unless it's worse than a 4th....which means he can't go to the Eagles (not that I'd want him here other than being a #3)... STL Fan Posted November 19, 2008 Share Posted November 19, 2008 I bet the Rams would like to have Warner back. Warner looked very similar to the way Bulger looks right now when the Rams let him go. Beaten, defeated, injured, sort of glassy-eyed. There is still a small, vocal minority here who wish the Rams had never let him go, but at the time Bulger was clearly the right choice. As has been stated in various threads, Warner is a great guy and St. Louis still loves him. His charity and foundation here are still very high-profile and do some great work. That said, he is 37 was was never very mobile even when he was young. If he were our QB now, his career would be over. I believe that. I still think there's a chance for Bulger to do a Warner-style turnaround with the right team in the right circumstances, but I think he may be done here if they can find a way to get rid of that contract.
