i_am_the_swammi
610 WIP Howard Eskin is reporting that Westbrook was receiving treatment on his knee and ankle and did not practice today. he commented that Eagle's needed to get Buckhalter more touches, and that this week, he may get all the touches. After searching for some info, found this on Fanball: Westbrook is badly hurt? Wednesday 11/19, 1:42 PM CT Jason LaCanfora of the Washington Post is hearing that Brian Westbrook is badly hurt and wonders if the Eagles will shut him down, at least for a week or two. Our View: To make matters worse, the Eagles have to contend with a relentless and hard-hitting Ravens' defense in Week 12. It was previously reported that Westbrook looked hobbled during practice earlier in the week. Fantasy owners should have insurance in place in case he is unable to go. All conjecture, and Reid mentioned nothing yesterday at his press conference. But as much as I'd miss Westy these next two weeks, I need him healthy for Weeks 14-16.....shut him down. loaf
it's a good week to shut him down and a bad week to start Buckhalter
Eagle2003
Is your team now the same as in your signature? Updated Signature. I am competing for a playoff spot with the Westbrook Owner, so I may snag Buckhalter to stop him from grabbing him. Dropping Shaub, who may be out another 3 weeks and has a tough schedule in weeks 16 and 17 may be my best drop.

And if Westy holds true to form, you may be able to start him for several weeks after this one.

Eskin, speculation from a DC paper and Westbrook not practicing mid week, again, doesn't worry me. Yet
IrishPride
I'm in keeper league and this guy had a "man crush" on Cutler, Wanted him as a keeper. So with Bush injured I figured who wouldn't want MB3,Westy, and Bush, with Turner as an option.......So I traded Cutler for Westy......Man I got rolled but at the time seemed like a good deal......? As the fantasy world turns!
thenflblog
What is up with Lorenzo Booker? I wish I knew... he looked really great in training camp, all I heard about him was how he's a young Westbrook, really shifty and great in space. My assumption is he can't block, otherwise they have no excuse for not getting him a few more touches. This is also his first year in the system, so I'd imagine he'll get an opportunity at some point - but whether that's at the end of this year or next year remains to be seen. As for B. West, his main problem is the ankle. He said himself that he usually feels good going into the game but after a few plays it almost always becomes sore and he is limited from that point on. It probably would be in his (and the team's) best interest to rest the ankle a week or two so he can get closer to 100%. Andy Reid is also stubborn not using Buckhalter. He's made plays every opportunity he gets, and they still don't get him the ball more. Case in point, he gets a screen pass against Cincy, jukes a guy and takes it 44 yards early in the 2nd. He touches the ball 1 more time the rest of the game, even when it's apparent Westbrook isn't capable of playing like he can when healthy. If that doesn't make you scratch your head, I don't know what will.
friedrice
I'm not sure if its westy or not but it just seems like philly just do not want to run the ball at all.
