LayLow
Broncos Defense: First an IDP last week, now a D/ST. What's this column coming to? But the woeful Broncs, who were so gawwwwdawful that the Browns purposely waited until they faced DEN to start Quinn, are improving enough to not kill you. A Denver homer named BroncoBilly, a Huddle.com regular, summed it up better than I ever could: "Maybe there's some hope now that Shanny is playing the best players instead of worn out/talentless vets who've failed with other teams - some multiple times. LBs Woodyard & Larsen with CBs Bell & Williams actually looked like they belonged." Don't drop CHI for them, but if you've been playing defense roulette, DEN could be a nice start this week at home against the Oakland Jamarcusuiasosopos. Riffraff
Stuart Mackenzie: Look at the size of that boy's heed. Tony Giardino: Shhh! Stuart Mackenzie: I'm not kidding, it's like an orange on a toothpick. Tony Giardino: Shhh, you're going to give the boy a complex. Stuart Mackenzie: Well, that's a huge noggin. That's a virtual planetoid. Tony Giardino: Shh! Stuart Mackenzie: Has it's own weather system. Tony Giardino: Sh, sh, shh. Stuart Mackenzie: HEAD! MOVE! msaint
Written by I was trying to put my finger on how the DEN D had improved a tiiiiiiinnny bit lately (my Rotoworld column is about stock values, essentially), because I wanted to recommend them as a nice emergency start this week vs. OAK, and came across BB's thread here, and he got to the heart of the matter faster/better than I would have been able to in the time I had -- i.e. that Shanny stopped running tired old vets out there and started playing some of the energetic youngsters, etc.. So, hey, had to give him his props for his homer insight on this particular subject.
