Brentastic
My wife, her dad, her two brothers, myself and my newborn son all went out to Fogo De Chao last night (all you can eat Brazilian steakhouse = yummy). The table right next to us was about 16 HUGH guys and my wife asked them if they played football (this was all happening as I was getting my boy in his carseat). My wife was actually on one of their home videos ( not that kind) since she was talking to them for a minute and one of them was filming the evening I guess. Anyways, I didn't even realize they were the Steelers until they left and I saw Ben. My back was to most of their table but I was facing some hugh hawaiian looking guy and two other unrecognizable beasts. They told my wife they played for Northwestern and a few of them were wearing some NW gear - we found out later from a manager that they did that as a cover. So anyways, it was interesting - even if I would have noticed Ben I wouldn't have said anything because that's just how I do - nontheless, it made the night that much more interesting and left for some fun banter for the remainder of the night as we put back some cold ones
Brentastic
Just figured out two guys I saw were Chris Kemoeatu and Justin Hartwig. My wife spoke with Kemoeatu and she said he was the rudest of them all. She talked to most of them and I didn't but she said he was a jerk and rude - of course I probably would be too if I was trying to eat some fatty steak and some chic was trying to talk to me!! Randall
Very cool. I agree. In Green Bay you run into players pretty often but it's a small city. It's harder in a big city. Players going out in public shouldn't be rude. They know the chances of meeting fans are pretty good and they represent the league.

Chavez
...so in the interest of accuracy, the thread should be titled "Ate dinner NEAR Big Ben last night" Plus your Chi-town cred is seriously in doubt after referring to Northwestern as "NW"
Sammy D.
A guy I used to work with went to school in Findlay w/ Ben and said that since he "made it big", he has become somewhat arrogant as well. Not trying to create an uproar here, I never met the guy, just relaying a story that I have heard.
Puddy
Speaking of Steeeeelers. I turned down an invitation to my companies annual sales meeting dinner last week. Turns out we had a guest speaker....Rocky Bleier and his 4 super bowl rings. He introduced himself as the 'other' guy in the backfield with Bradshaw and Harris. He said that's why he still does speeches for a living and they don't have to. I wish I would have attended as he was pretty personable and I would have asked to try on all his rings to show up RocknRobn.

darin3
Wow, I'm ashamed of myself just from a simple grammar perspective. Northwestern is only one word not two Northwestern got its name due to the fact that when it was founded, it was in the northwest portion of the nation. I take that back; I was misinformed. From Wiki: The University's name, Northwestern, came from its founders' desire to serve citizens of the states that occupied the area of the former Northwest Territory: Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, and part of Minnesota.
