Witten

I was watching some of the Cowyboy game and I saw him make a catch get POPPED in his chest and drop the ball. VERY slow to get up but he did and walked to sideline. Did he re-injure his ribs? Did he play again?

I of course traded Randy Moss for Witten before Sunday. Good move.

TIA

They say he just had the wind knocked out of him and he did return to the game

I watched the game and Dallas seems to be clearly limiting the passes thrown to him...he looks fine blocking but is hesitating when the ball gets thrown his way. There was a couple of passes thrown to him earlier, besides the one he got nailed on, with a short one he caught and another which would have been at least a 20 yd gainer that he dropped...definitely looked like he was in pain on the one he dropped.

Not sure if Bennett is on your waiver wire but you might want to grab him for back-up, at least for another week or two, as he's getting lot's of looks in the red zone and has scored the last 2 weeks in a row...something I can see continuing until Witten gets back to full strength...

I'd rather take my chances on Witten than Bennett. Although he did catch a TD, he had 1 catch for 1 yard entire game.

He did? Do you have a link?

Yes he did, the announcers just thought it was his ribs.

"Tight end Jason Witten took a tough shot to his jaw early in the fourth quarter that had him on the ground for a few minutes. Witten came back in the same series and played the rest of the game when most thought he had reinjured his fractured rib."

Rotoworld) Jason Witten caught only one pass for 15 yards in a Week 12 win.

Analysis: Witten was shaken up at one point after taking a big hit and trainers checked out his jaw, but X-rays were negative. Still, he has not been productive since breaking his ribs in Week 8 and his health remains a concern going forward. That doesn't make Witten sittable in Week 13 against Seattle.

Which scored him higher than roughly 75% of all the other TEs playing that weekend...had that 1 catch for the game winning TD the week before of about 25 yards so whatever, his one catch has been counting...My point is that he has been getting a couple of looks each game and Dallas likes to utilize 2 TE sets...that being said I'd have a hard time benching Witten over him as well, but until Jason proves that he's really back and playing pain free I'm pondering it...

You have a valid point but I am in a must win situation and I rather lose with Witten than lose benching Witten...expecially since I gave up alot to acquire him. Home he has a decent game this week against SEA

One other thing, Bennett may be a rookie but he is like 6'6...he's a huge red zone target and was an exceptional receiver in college...probably a bit bias as I picked him up in my dynasty league. The thing is though since Witten has been injured (about 5-6 games ago) Martellus has scored 3 TDs and put up over 60 yards in one of them...

THE NEWS

Jason Witten is hurting "real bad" from sore ribs, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Our View

The source believes the Cowboys should consider sitting him in a short week on Thanksgiving Day against Seattle, but the team is yet to agree.

Ouch!
