whoopazz
I have a 3 lb brisket, but no smoker. I'm thinking slow cook in crockpot to shred it for sammiches or tacos. Any ideas? TIA

whoopazz
fwiw, i've never used a crockpot 10-4, knew that. Detlef posted a recipe for shank steak I think, but I can't find it. Hope to get a smoker soon but I need to do this thing tomorrow. I found some crockpot recipes on the innernets but was hoping the Huddle brethren would know how to do it in a crockpot. I'll try your recommendation.

Never even gave a Sunday chuck roast a try? Why not?

Jimmy Neutron
Knowing you're an accomplished chef, I can sort of understand this, but it's really good. Never even gave a Sunday chuck roast a try? Why not? I'd wager a guess and say it's probably a texture thing for Bier. While the crockpot is easy and offers good flavor, I've learned to dislike 'pot dishes because they're just so darn mushy. Other slow cook methods offer tenderizing while maintaining texture. whoopazz
cherry cokechili powder cayenne chipotle diced onion lime juice orange juice galic (or garlic powder) This came out really good. I used regular coke, a little worcestire, and no orange juice and slowcooked overnight...mmmm Question, can I freeze a hunk of it after cooked?
