untateve
Without a playoff, it will remain conjecture. However, in the current system, the winner of the OU-UF game will be the BCS Natl Champion.
theeohiostate
Without a playoff, it will remain conjecture. However, in the current system, the winner of the OU-UF game will be the BCS Natl Champion. Florida has the stronger case to be a legitimate #1 if they beat OU. BUT, what happens if OU and Texas get shown up. UTAH pounds Bama. You're left with an undefeated Utah team and a Florida team whose wins don't seem so great anymore? GWPFFL BrianW
I'd be very shocked to see the AP rank Texas #1 even if they destroy OSU, and OU squeaks by Florida. Keep in mind, it happened in 2003 for 2 reasons. #1 USC was ranked #1 in the AP going into the bowls (and also the coaches poll as well, as you all know coaches have to by contract vote the winner of the BCS National Champion #1). More importantly #2, media and fans alike all felt that USC was the best team that year, with the small exception of those in Louisiana, and probably Oklahoma. At the end of the day, #2 Oklahoma will have beaten #1 Florida (according to the AP) . Texas, even if they rout Ohio State, just beat a team that would now have 3 losses. It'd be another highly impressive win by Oklahoma in the minds of the voters. edit to add: And lets not kid ourselves here, the elephant in the room is the fact that, USC, Penn State, Alabama, and Texas Tech all have 1 loss, and Utah and Boise State are both undefeated. There are a lot of teams, with gripes about the BCS. The BCS didn't "get it right", because it's impossible for them to "get it right" the way the system is structured. jaxfactor
Unta will win the beauty contest hands down. He looks best in a bikini. I have seen him in person, and he would look very good in a bikini. But Tim Tebow would look better because Tim does everything better than everyone.
