All of these teams have had significant injuries...

Seattle - Too many to name.

GB - Loss of Favre is part of it, but there is more to this story... Rodgers had them going in the right direction early. Loss of Harris and Grant being banged up certainly hasn't helped. Defense overall hasn't played as well (consistently) as last year.

SD - Lost Merriman, and the defense without him can't stop anyone. Disappointing... Maybe. Surprising? Not really.

JAC - Have had some injuries as well, but they have been the biggest surprise to me, from a disappointment perspective. This team appears to be playing with little heart this year, which is a complete contradiction to the past 2-3 years.

My vote is for the Jags.

Heehawks, heehawks, heehawks, haven't seen a record like this since the early 90's. Ahh, reminds me of the good 'ol days of the kingdome and Dan McGwire.

Funny how two teams in the most disappointing poll are in my super bowl prediction sig line. Yeah two teams with very disappointing seasons.

Dallas... surprised they didnt make the Poll

It's hard to call an 8-5 team the most disappointing team in the NFL this season. I didn't think they deserved mention, being 8-5 (and knowing they would likely be more like 10-3 if Romo hadn't gotten hurt).

Pack have lost a lot of close games to a lot of good teams. Rodgers looks to be the real deal, it's the defense and running game that have let them down--Pack will step it back up next year, no doubt.

Nobody actually expected the Lions to go 0-16, did they?

No love for Cleveland?

10-6 last year, 7-1 at home, #8 scoring offense (25.1 points / game)

4-9 this year. 1-6 at home, #27 scoring offense (17.1 points / game)

I'll give you that, but I don't think they had the expectations of a Green Bay or a San Diego. Anderson started to show his true colors at the end of last year, and their schedule is brutal this season compared to their cupcake schedule last year. Still, I probably should have included them.

Dallas ... they were in pre-season discussions for the superbowl and now won't even make the playoffs.

That's weird. If the playoffs started right now, they'd be in as a wild card. Again, I fail to see how Dallas being 8-5 brings them into this discussion. I would argue that many people didn't see them passing the Giants to win the division this season anyway...

With Detroit at 0-13 and not much likelihood they will win a game, I think that's the most disappointing team of all-time. Yeah, maybe no one thought they'd be a playoff team, but I'm pretty sure no one expected them to be near all-time futility.
