Henry Muto
Is CBS the best ? I know they probably cost the most around $140 ? Are there other good sites that can retain data year to year allow you to make up the schedule and make all the rules for scoring and salary's and contracts for dynasty leauges ? Just wondering if anyone knows of any good sites ?

Shouldn't you be writing reviews of these sites or are all 27 leagues on CBS
gilthorp
I hear there's a good site that costs $1,500 to run a league. They are probably the best because they cost the most. Look into it.

Grits and Shins
I'd think any league where you are paying $2500 for your league to be managed would already be using the absolute best league management software available.

Interesting... I don't recall every saying "I am great" I think this is just how you view my posts but whatever. Also I play almost all of my leagues on 1 online site www.fantasyjungle.com which is a site like the wcoff where you are in a contest trying to win money over other players. That has nothing to do with finding a site to run my home town leagues in which I am the commish of 3 but I have been doing all the work using excel sheets as I don't use any online site to run my league. So my question was for those of you who were confused by it...where can I find a good site to run my leagues....as to be compared to the sites I play in where I am just another team against other people. STL Fan
rtsports.com is cheaper than CBS and MFL (I think) and it has been bug-free while I see constant posts about clitches on other sites. We've loved it.

Gopher
Sportsline - More expensive than the others, considering what they offer. Their "projections" and weekly rankings are weak and sometimes laughable. When I did use their site, the only thing I did find SLIGHTLY helpful was the weekly "Start Em, Sit Em" article, which does a decent job of making readers aware of certain matchup trends between specific players and their opponent for that week. Other than that, the site, although cosmetically attractive, is pretty basic. Not a ton of options, but the options that they do have are fairly user-friendly. The live draft feature is pretty easy to use, and somewhat comparable to other sites' similar features. MFL - For the money, it's easily the best site out there. By far the most options of any site, especially when it comes to IDP, keeper, and dynasty leagues. The only problem with MFL is that the amount of options available can be overwhelming, especially if you are just looking to do a very "basic" league setup. There are a few glitches, but once again, many of these are due to the fact that there are a ton of options available, to the point where you can pretty much customize everything. The good thing about the glitches is that you can contact MFL's support group, and they will get it fixed to your liking 90% of the time. RTSports - Haven't had a ton of experience with this, but it's not bad. Not sure what the cost is, in comparison with the others, but the search features (scoring leaders, free agents, etc.) are comparable to what you find on MFL and other sites. Fanball - Same as above... Cost is better than Sportsline, I believe, and you get just as many options. The other thing I like about fanball, if you want to get down to the nitty gritty details, is that you can click on a player's name, and basically get a picture-in-picture small window, showing any recent player news, etc. In other words, it's similar to MFL, but it keeps you on the same page, rather than taking you to another page entirely. Small detail, but it's a nice feature IMO. Yahoo - As basic as it gets, and still FREE (I think). So, I would say this... If you're looking for as many options as possible, MFL is clearly head and shoulders above the rest. If, however, you're looking to set up a basic redraft league, I would go with fanball, RTSports, or even Yahoo (if cost is the most important factor, and you're not worried about options or keeping track of previous years' results). Sportsline simply isn't competitive for the money you spend... the others are just as good for half the price. Hope that helps.
Gopher
One negative for fanball... for whatever reason, they historically have a problem with their site the first week of the season. I have learned the hard way not to expect to be able to go on their site and change my lineup five minutes before kickoff, the first week of the season. However, after week 1, it's never a problem again. It's like they have too many users on their site to support all of the activity, and then they make an adjustment going into week 2, and it's all good. The frustrating part is that it has happened several times (several years). Overall, though, their site is pretty decent. One other note... All of my keeper/dynasty/IDP leagues are on MFL... I do not know if the other sites I mentioned have the capabilities to support such leagues, as I have never had to try....

This is available on rtsports as well, and the full reports are quick and sortable. It costs us about 85 bucks per year for our league as best I recall. Also tech support is fast, competent and almost entirely unnecessary as the site just always works. The site's original content is only OK, but that's why I come here now, isn't it? I like the fact that the info on our site is not great because several teams in our league us it as their only source and that gives me an edge because I hang out with you clowns. As a long time fanball member (10+ years), this was my final season there. I'm so glad 2v was hired here at TheHuddle. With a few exceptions (2 long standing yahoo leagues) , all my leagues will be ran at MFL from now on. I don't think I said fanball was better than MFL, did I? I don't think it's any worse than Sportsline (at half the cost) or RTSports, and it's most certainly better than Yahoo, although I can understand people wanting to use Yahoo (since it's free) if they don't need any "bells and whistles." Clearly, MFL is the way to go for most leagues... so many options, historical data, cool features, formatting, etc. My point is simply this... If you don't need any/all of that, MFL can seem a little bit overwhelming to a commissioner. In that case, I would suggest one of the "others", which are easier to navigate, from just a simplicity standpoint.

Clearly my comment was not directed at you, just the site. Sorry for any confusion. AOL Sports, at one point in time, used Fanball's software to run there FF leagues, but went with a different site this year. That pretty much sums up the mess over there. Plus they let my boy John go, sent him packing as such, and replaced him and the staff with a bunch of yahoo's from CDM Sports. The same bunch that has diluted the great WCOFF. But yes I totally agree with your entire post. Yahoo has been very good for me and my 2 non-MFL leagues over the years and strongly recommend it for the $$ challenged. Never even heard of RTSports until I came here so no opinion on them. CBSSportsline has got to be the biggest rip off for FF on the net with Fanball a close 2nd.
