Goopster24
I'm curious to hear if people/leagues do playoff leagues once the NFL playoffs start. I know CBS Sportsline is doing something where you pick players and have a salary cap. Does anyone do something similar? I'd love to hear how people structure it. Thanks. Gopher
I've done a playoff league for about the last 7-8 years... Similar to last year's Huddle MVP contest. You pick a lineup each week, but can only use each player from the playoffs once. It gets a little sticky if you pick the wrong QB the first three weeks, and don't leave yourself one of the two in the Super Bowl. It's a great contest, though, and definitely adds some interest to the playoffs. I've done it the old fashioned way every year... Excel spreadsheet, with different tabs to show current week's scores, cumulative standings, players used, etc. I just save the sheet from year to year, and plug in the new players and stats each year. I always make a point to email everyone the lineups for each contestant prior to kickoff each week, as well as an "updates" during the weekend, so that there's no question about who started who. Let me know if you're interested. $20 per entry.
Goopster24
Gopher, appreciate the info. I'm not interested in joining a league, I'm interested in helping start one with my home league, thanks.
BeeR
Format of use a player only once and total pts (not H/H) is the norm. MFL sets it up for you automatically, basically, and for free. We usually throw a small chunk of change out and do it.
