skylive5
At one time coaches were not allowed to step onto the field of play during a game. It used to be a flag for that. At least that is what I remember. Now they end up half-way to the other side of the field complaining about this and that. Irks me no end. And it irks my granddaughter even more. So she came up with the refs carrying tasers. And of course my son in law then says that the tased coach's team better pull him off the field right quick or they could get flagged for 12 men on the field. Then they came up with the "dog collar" idea. You know the one... where you have a parameter circled with a live wire that will shock whatever is wearing the correct collar. And of course the current would be at max so that after the game and the NFL powers to be take the collar off the coach the one with the burns around their neck could be fined. I prefer the taser idea. Coach runs/walks out onto the field...ref walks over...TASE... coach on ground. What say you? Jrick35
As a high school ref I COMPLETELY agree with the Taser idea. One of my pet peeves with is their seeming inability to comprehend the concept of stay off the field of play. I try to be as patient as possible because I actually do not like to penalize the players for their coaches inflexibility but sometimes I just have to throw the sideline warning.
