Sunday Couch Potatoe
They got the division wrapped and not much chance of improving position for playoffs. Anyone scared of the dreaded limited play this week and traveling to N.E.? Or are you confident with him this week?
MTSuper7
I might be a little timid about this weekend, but what difference does it make unless you have a really solid backup QB. I mean, you're not benching Warner for Shaun Hill, right? Of course, if the forecast is a high of 25 degrees with 45 MPH gusts and blizzard conditions, I'd be much more open to Shaun Hill (or whoever as an alternative). Heck, Dan Orlovsky (yes, I said it) is a sneaky play at home against a suspect Saints' D. Too bad he's probably not on anyone's roster. Jrick35
Actually they do have a chance to move from the 4 seed to the 3 seed for the playoffs, but that being said I am a little anxious about starting Warner but for me it is the potential ofr bad weather more than anything. Reduced playing time does not scare me too much because I would think he would get at least 3 quarters and if he is on he can do some damage in 3 quarters. I have the choice between Warner @ New England or Ryan in side @ Minny. Gotta watch the weather report.
pig devilz
I'm on the fence with this one right now. I have Warner or Cassel. Cassel, everything to play for, Warner, not so much and traveling west to east. Cassel doubled Warners points yesterday, ok, it was against Oakland, but still he's very capable of that kind of performance. If Matt Light is out for the game, that will factor in my choice. Weather right now is not calling for any storms....but this is New England, wait 10 minutes, it'll change....

pig devilz
weather, 6 days out, worth watching Saturday Night Through Sunday Night...Mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of snow. Cold. Lows 15 to 20. Highs in the upper 20s. i'm in the championship game baby!

Square
I've got a WW request in for Schaub (someone dropped when he was hurt and Sage was playing ok) just in case. I might like Schaub's chances at the Raiders more than Warner this week. Kurt's gotten me this far but this is the SB and I have to do whatever works. I'll keep debating this for awhile but we'll see what the weather looks like. NE is desperate for a win and West coast teams don't typically play well on the East coast. Furd
I am thinking about sitting him for Schaub.
Square
I am thinking about sitting him for Schaub. As long as I get him off the waivers, I'm going to plug Schaub into starting. I'll see if I change my mind (and how much this can mind F me for the next week) but I don't know if I trust the Cardinals + possibly bad weather + East coast + against a desperate Patriots team in December. There is a fine line between evil genius and momo fektard so we'll see how this plays out. Edited December 16, 2008 by Square

malta69
I actually think I may roll with Tyler Thigpen over Warner in my championship this weekend. That New England weather report keeps getting worse by the day!
pig devilz
Boldin held out of practice again today....
RussMan
No question he can beat good defenses.. but its outside, in the cold, they have clinched a playoff spot, starting WR probably out, and NE needs to win. Not a good scenario imo.
BillyBalata
It's either Warner or Delhomme for me. I'm sticking with Warner. One bright spot is my opponent will be starting Cassel, so at least the conditions will be evened out.

Your opponent starting Cassel helps as well. Unfortunately, my main money league opponent has Brees facing the uber-tough Lions defense in a dome. I'm still planning on rolling with Schaub but I'll be checking the radar on both those games.
LayLow
Boldin held out of practice again today.... Most would think that Fitz has a bigger game because of this...wouldn't he draw more if not all the coverage without Boldin? Also The Cardinals' team flight to Foxboro for Sunday's game against the Patriots was delayed due to a snowstorm. This is of particular concern for the Cardinals because they don't often play in bad weather and are such a one-dimensional, pass-first team. There is a 90% chance of snow for Sunday's 1PM ET game with 20MPH winds. The temperature will be in the 30s, but the cold will make it feel like 25 degrees. pig devilz
i would think Boldin being out bodes well for Breaston, but with the weather what it will be, i'd stay away from any of them. i might not play Warner or Cassel.....see what's on the ww my fear is that the field could actually be icy.... bawler_shotcaller
In one league I have Warner and Romo. In another league I have Warner and Favre. I am going with Romo over Warner because of the weather and Boldin being a GTD. Should I go with Favre over Warner in the other league? The Jets Seattle game will have sleet and rain. This weather sucks!
DMD
I will say I do not remember a week 16 with so many bad weather games. At least they seem to be. I'll give you one more bad thing to think about - last week when ARZ was losing at the end of the game they just let Leinart take the final series. Wonder if we see him this week as well? Problem solved, I just picked up Shaun Hill, so starting him against STL over Warner and Romo. In the other league, going with Favre over Warner. It's final, not going to think about it anymore, been stressing all AM!!

I'll give you one more bad thing to think about - last week when ARZ was losing at the end of the game they just let Leinart take the final series. Wonder if we see him this week as well? I actually can't recall any week since I've been playing FF where there might be so many bad weather games. Seattle may not be as bad as originally forecast, but the NE game, the Giants game and Chicago look awful forecast-wise with not just the cold and freezing precipitation, but pretty bad winds in the forecast too. KC sounds like it will be bad as well. I believe more than anything else, it's the wind that wrecks havoc on the passing and kicking games. The freezing temps and snow of Denver is actually a "good weather" game this week, relatively speaking, as the wind will be calm. I have been second guessing my line ups, especially with the IDP's a lot the last couple of days. How much will offensive game plans change? Do the TE's value go up for a short passing attack? Which LB's will get more tackle opportunities due to weather conditions? Which ones less? Trying not to over think this, but the weather is hard to ignore this week. Wonder if we see him this week as well? Yea, i worry that maybe they don't want to risk playing Warner too much in bad conditions which could increase the chance of injury. But....knowing the Cards are a warm weather team, a good coach would want to give his starters some good playing time in these conditions, knowing the could be playing in similar conditions again in a couple weeks(NY)
