IDP INTERACTIVE

Week 16

 

 

"IDP INTERACTIVE" is a new weekly content piece that will allow people in the forum to ask questions regarding their fantasy teams

and receive a very in depth answer. For this to work and work well questions will need to include some specific information so that

all angles can be looked at and covered. The more info the better!

 

What needs to be included with your questions(Trade questions, WDIS, waiver acquisitions etc):

 

1. Your question.(can be about who to start, trade advice, waiver advice, roster composition, how to assess value of offensive players in a deal etc)

2. Link to your league will be very helpful.

3. Roster(s) (including opponents for match-up reasons)

4. Starting requirements

5. Scoring

 

This is where questions for week 16 are to be submitted.

The catch is that you will have to check the paid content area on Saturdays to see which

question(s) were selected to be answered that week.

 

I (most likely Darin too) will make every effort to answer the questions that are posted in this thread,

they just wont be as in depth as the "IDP INTERACTIVE" answers will be.

 

Here is to hoping that everyone finds this new content an added value to our current IDP content.

If you have any recommendations that may help to make this an even better feature by all means

your input is greatly appreciated.

Dear IDP Interactive,

Inconsistency is the word that comes to mind when looking at my IDP squad, specifically my LBs and DBs. I play in the championship game of The AFL this weekend, and need help finding my starting 3 LBs and starting 3 DBs.

 

At LB, Barrett Ruud is a must start every week. However it's the #2 and #3 LBs that kill me week in and week out.

With Gary Brackett out for my championship game, I have to pick two of the following:

Ernie Sims vs. Saints

Shaun Phillips @ Bucs

Kawika Mitchell @ Broncos

Desmond Bishop @ Bears

Pat Thomas vs. Dolphins

While all have been mediocre at best, they have been up and down through out the year.

 

DB has also been a bit of a coin toss for me at the #2 and #3 spot. My stud is Gibril Wilson, but after that I have to pick two of the following:

Cortland Finnegan vs. Steelers

Ed Reed @ Cowboys

Nick Harper vs. Steelers

Antoine Bethae @ Jaguars

Carlos Rogers vs. Eagles

... all of which have had their highs and lows... but fail to produce on a consistent basis.

 

Scoring is:

Forced Fumble - 2

Fumble Recovered - 2

INT - 2

Pass Defensed - 1.5

Tackle - 2

Assist - 1

Sack - 3

Safety - 2

I'm in a tight matchup in a championship game in a 10-team redraft league that features a single IDP ... Given the thursday game and not planning to start Addai/Rhodes (going with TJones & Pierre), I've waived the two Indy backs and filled my roster with D options, now I have to choose.

 

Harrison @ Tenn;

Ruud vs SD;

Ware vs Balt.

 

• Ruud gets the most love in the IDP weekely LB rankings here in The Huddle, coming in at 3 with Ware close at 5 and Harrison at 16.
  
• Ruud's been outscored by approximately 2pts per game in our scoring system -- as his high tackle total doesn't quite keep up with the sack points of the others.
  
• Yahoo projections (for whatever the *^&(&** they're worth) this week have Ruud at 10 points, Ware at 10.7, and Harrison at 8 ...
  

 

 

Hmmm. Thoughts on this choice among supermodels?

I am perplexed as to why you even still have Pat Thomas on your roster especially with a guy like Joey Porter on the WW

but it is what it is and I think you have no choice but to start Sims as your LB2 and then its between Phillips and Mitchell...Phillips has been hit or miss this year while for the most part Mitchell has been solid...but Mitchell has a poor matchup this week vs the broncos...After looking at your matchup I think I would most likely play Mitchell...he probably wont score much but I dont think he will put up a donut like Phillips could....if you needed a big game from your LB3 the I would swing for the fences with Phillips and hope for a multi sack game but I dont think you need to do that...

 

at DB I would have said to start Finnegan, Bethea and Reed...unforutnately I didnt say that soon enough so that means I think you should start Finnegan Harper and Reed...if you can still grab someone off of waivers I would look to grab Nate Clements and Tramon Williams
