Flex Scheduling question

We will not know unitl this Sunday. Read below, direct from nfl.com:

To those waiting for the NFL to announce its flex scheduling plan for the final week of the regular season, you will have to wait a little longer. Deciding which contest is chosen for the Sunday night prime-time game on NBC normally is done 12 days prior to the game — meaning today would be the day to learn who will close out the 2008 regular season (there is no Monday night game in Week 17).

However, the flex scheduling rule is, well, flexible for the final week. To ensure the season ends with a meaningful game, the NFL does not have to make the final flex decision until after this Sunday’s games.

I think this is a two horse race for next Sunday night: Dallas vs. Philly or Miami vs. NY Jets

I think the Dallas/Philly game is more interesting especially after the earlier Monday night game and assuming one or both have a playoff birth on the line. There is the Favre and #1 market (New York) factor to the Jets game, plus the AFC East is on the line.

I want to see the Dallas/Philly game obviously, but assuming both have playoff implications, I can't be too upset about either.

Hopefully someone realizes that there's at least dozens of us who don't need to see the f'ing Cowboys every-single-freaking-week.

not so fast....you might want to add, may be on the line.

Patriots will be playing Buf and that game could decide the East Champ....

That may be true, but it is likley that both Miami and the Jets will, at the least, be fighting for a wild card playoff birth. Buffalo... not so much.

Yeah, I am sick of seeing the Cowboys too, but the Eagles are worth seeing again.

So we figuring it's all about whether Atl or Tampa loses, making that Philly/Dallas a true winner goes/loser goes home most likely? If it may not be (ie, if Atl and Tpa both win this week), will be Mia-Jets?

Phi-Dal will get much better ratings would be my guess, plus there first one was one of the games of the year

name='Whiskey Pimp' post='2735729' date='12/18/08 10:04pm'I have no interest in seeing another NFC East battle but I also don't want to listen to Madden drool all over Favre either.

So you don't want to see good football?

(I agree I want nothing to do with Madden's man-love for Favre.)
