Steelers - Titans

The Titans abused the Steelers up front, both offensively and defensively. They moved the ball better against the Steelers defense than anyone else has this year. If the Steelers are going to go to or win the Super Bowl, it will be in spite of their AWFUL offensive line. Roethlisberger made some mistakes, but, today, the Steelers offensive line got abused. Props to the Titans on a well deserved victory in a big game.

P.S. I would like to thank Lendale White for taking out a terrible towel and stomping on it, and Keith Bullock pulling out a towel and talking trash. Hopefully, the Steelers will have a chance to get revenge.

Nice win for the Titans.

I do not mean this to take anything away from what was a great game for the Titans and one thing that was certain was that they crushed our offensive line.

Now what I am wondering is if the Steelers didn't play this game very vanilla? What I mean is that I did not see anywhere near the defensive scheming that we normally see. I still think all that is on tape so why hide it unless you just feel that showing it during a game will give up a lot of your "bag of tricks".

Again, not to take anything away from the Titans win as it was impressive but I wonder if those of you that follow the Steelers were seeing it the way I feel like I was seeing it?

One win in the playoffs for Steelers and the Titans and we will see a rematch.

Exactly. Man, I hope we both win our first playoff games because the Steelers have seen this and will be ready to defend the towell. I promise. I hope that pisses off the Steelers as much as it did me. To tell you the truth, I wasn't too upset with the loss. They went through the NE, Dallas, Balt, Tenn stretch at 3-1 so I'm actually ecstatic. Tenn WILL be playing either Balttimore or Indy if one of them wins their WC game. The 2 teams I really don't want to face in the quarterfinals. But the stomp on the towell. I thank them for that also Menudo. That WILL be viewed as motivation if we face the Titans in the AFC championship game.

Actually noticed that myself, Skippy, but it never went any further. Not alot of blitzing. Well, I should say not enough blitzing as per the norm for the Steelers D. I'm hoping for a rematch

The worst case scenario for the Steelers, IMO is if both the Colts and the Ravens win their WC playoiff games. Then they'll have to face the Colts while the Titans would face the Ravens. That would be a pretty awesome quarterfinal if you ask me.

Didn't see that one coming. Impressive win for the Titans. Home field could be HUGH for them, as they made a statement today beating a VERY good Steeler team.

And Lenwhale White is a foooking moran, plain and simple.

Actually Pitt is an average team with a good defense. Pitt has been good at letting other teams make mistakes and capitalizing on those to steal the game at the end. Which is a good trait of a solid team. But this team has no other way in winning than this. Balt and Dallas both came down to the final play, and really they were fortunate to win either of these games. a questionable TD against Balt and Romo handing them the Dallas game. Whats sad is Balt, Dallas and NE could all miss the playoffs and these are the teams Pitt struggled with down the stretch, while Tenn whooped their ass to show us all they are just an average football team.

I can't figure out the Steelers. In my opinion, they were extremely lucky to beat Dallas and the Ravens. They lost to the Giants and Colts at home and the Eagles and Titans on the road. They really are struggling against the best teams, and are pulling out miracle finishes against the good teams (Ravens, Cowboys, Chargers). Their best win against a quality opponent is against NE and Balt. Not sure what to make of them yet. They could have the #2 seed, but have a worse record than the #5 seed.

I'm not Menudo so I am not that easy to catch but this average team that played the hardest schedule in the NFL but always just gets lucky when it wins 11 games has got to be the luckiest team ever. Or maybe that great defense, (not good but GREAT), does do more than their share at holding the offense into each game isn't so much lucky as they are really great. And maybe that offense that got very lucky with that questionable call at the end of another really lucky 92 yard drive isn't quite as bad as the looked yesterday. Or maybe even that great Tenn D played their ass off with some great inspiration based on being underdogs at home even though they have only two loses and pretty much have been the dominant AFC team this year really did play one hell of a game with a poor showing from a Pittsburgh team.

One thing I can tell you is that this average Pitt team is much better than it looked yesterday.

Okay, maybe you did set a hook in me just a little but I am now backing away from the stinky bait.

I never said Pitt lucked into all their wins, not did they not deserve every win they got. But come on, this team is average at best overall. The offense is below average and the defense is one of the best, though I think they are a bit over rated myself. Sure the stats are there, but the conditions in pittsburgh dont usually allow offensive fireworks, and they are pretty good on that side of the ball.

And when Indy strolls into Pitt for their first playoff game, Pitt will be one and done.

I loved it. Someone had to do something to the Terrible Toiletpaper. Made me ill how many people were waving them at the game at FedEx.

What I really do think is that Big Ben does not play very well once he feels down. I don't mean that when they are 7 points behind but rather that feeling that we are truly behind. I wish that I could point at some evidence other that me just telling you that I watch all the games and it is weird how I get this feeling at certain points of the game. Not when the game is clearly over or even in desperation mood but rather just behind but not moving the ball and then seeing a great defense give up some points or even just some chunk of yardage. I had the feeling that yesterday’s game was over right after the first drive of the 3rd quarter. I actually pissed my wife off when I told her that there was no way that they were going to come back. It pissed her off because I don't say that very often but when I do it is almost always right.

all this faux outrage is funny and predictable. well, maybe a fat man stomping on a hanky can get the steelers fired up to play hard. because playing the best team in the AFC for home field sure didn't. they got taken behind the woodshed.

NO joke, Pitt is going to play harder in the future because someone stepped on their yellow hanky. Boo Hoo. .

Honestly, you guys don't think that a team can come out flat now and then. Maybe after coming off of two pretty hugh wins that were pretty hard fought battles.

I will take a little exta motivation anytime I can get it.

Hell, I am at work right now and typing on a message board. I need all the motivation I can get. Okay, I just got some. My crew is taking me to lunch.
