i_am_the_swammi
With that big Chargers win, if the Eagles win out, they are in the playoffs. 1st things 1st...beat Washington today to set-up at winner-makes-the-playoffs game with the cowboys. Riffraff
It'd be nice if Philly can go beat the Broncos to return the favor.
Big John
It'd be nice if Philly can go beat the Broncos to return the favor. They don't play this year.
Riffraff
They don't play this year. I know. Just wishful thinking that the Broncos will lose this week.
Riffraff
So far in the 4th quarter, Phi has had 12 offensive non-4th down plays. Westy was involved in only 1 of them. No surprise if Philly loses.
whomper
Eagles moving the ball using the middle of the field. Drops hurting though. Desean dropped 2 hugh passes. This 4th down and 4 is the ballgame

i_am_the_swammi
Sorry Birds yep, after that embarrassing game the Boys played last night, looks like we're both staying home for the playoffs, since Tampa will beat Oakland next week. Sad part is, most expected the Cowboys to be in the Super Bowl...Eagles were an afterthought, and will finish about where everyone thought they would. At least you get a new stadium to underachieve in next year, eh Whomp?

HowboutthemCowboys
Sad part is, most expected the Cowboys to be in the Super Bowl... not sure where this comes from. only Cowboyz1 and the media actually believed it.

I have accepted my teams inability to win the gritty games needed. If they did squeek in who know what can happen. I just saw a lot of puffed chests in the Boys thread after last nights game so I came in here to witness the deflation first hand. Watching the Eagles fall short..Again...Merry Christmas back at ya Swaami.

whomper
They just said if Dallas wins they are in on fox. I know it wont be easy in Philly but we can still back in. Once you get in the slate is wiped clean.
Blowing Up
With Tampa Bay losing to the Bolts today, they are still in a tie with the Cowboys and the Boys have head to head over TB.
Sgt Ryan
Dallas still somehow controls their own destiny. Dallas owns tiebreak over Tampa if both win next week, and hold the conference tiebreak over Chicago. If Chicago wins both games and Minnesota loses next week, Chicago wins division and Minnesota is out. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3711069 If playoffs ended today regardless of what happens tonight, Dallas is the 6 seed. And can keep the 6th seed with a win at Philly next week. Edited December 22, 2008 by Sgt Ryan
Grits and Shins
I'm thinking the Eagles had control of their own destiny right up until they lost to Washington today.
